Can't Leave

-Elise's POV-

I felt Chris sit up after our our sleep to a sore back, him grunting and rubbing his back from metal springs being dig into them.
I sat up also and looked down,
"sorry, I told you, you wouldn't want to stay"

-Chris's POV-
"No, it's fine, I'd rather be here and know your safe here"
"Why are you always looking out for me?" She shook her head getting up,
"Do you not want me caring?" I frowned  following her into the kitchen.
"It wouldn't have made a difference even if you didn't"
"Why?"
"Cause once you hop it back to America you will have nothing to do with me"
"That's not true"
"You don't wanna be hanging around with me Chris,"
"Why are you so distant from everyone will you atleast let me in?!" I yelled,
"I can't" she said quietly,
"What happened Elise please" I said softly in defeat,
She never answered,
"Did someone hurt you?" I asked,
She stopped cleaning the dishes,
"You don't know me Chris" she said quietly,
"Please, Elise darling I'm here to help-
I touched her shoulder but she flinched and scoured away,
"Elise I want you to come with me"
"What?" She looked up,
"To Pennsylvania, with me, i want you to come live with me"
"You must be out of your mind"
"Why not though Elise! You need someone to be by your side and make you smile and-
"And what? Love me Chris? Do you want to love me?" She said in frustration,
"I do, I do care for you please"
"You've known my existence for a week Chris, a week and you already want me to come back with you"
"I can't leave here"
"What are you so afraid of?! Change?!"
"I'm dirt, and I belong and live in dirt"
"Not to me"
"I'm sorry, I just-
"It's alright, I'm leaving tomorrow, I still have your number." I said sadly,
She sighed and put her cold hand on my warm cheek,
I put my hand over here and held it,
"Stay safe"
She nodded,
I kissed her cheek and left at that.
I was almost in tears by the time I got to the car.
My flight to Scranton is in the morning,
I looked back up to that broken apartment building.
I sighed.
Who am I kidding, I don't love her, I just want to be with her that's all.
I started the car and sped off back to my hotel on the other side of town.
