-Elise's POV-
I sped through the pouring rain feeling my hands become more numb from the cold.
The fog got thicker and more dense the higher I got up the climb of the hill.
I followed two car lights, as that was the only thing I could see in this mass of fog.
About twenty minutes later I wasn't looking to where I was going and and I almost knocked down a deer which was crossing the road.
I swerved to the side and fell off my bike.
I shot up and sped back down the road, but the car lights were never to be seen.
They had vanished in the grey.
I threw my helmet in the ground in anger as I stood watching the streetlights begin to switch on in the city bellow.
I flinched to the sound of my phone going off.
It was Chris,
"Hello?"
"Elise, oh thank god I texted you why didn't you reply"
"Sorry I uhh, I was busy"
"You okay?"
"I'm fine"
"You want me to pick you up?"
"I have my bike I'll be home in ten minutes"
"Okay"
I got back on my bike and rode off.-Chris's POV-
Elise came in tiredly putting the bag of shopping on the table,
"Where did you go?"
"I told you already"
"The truth Elise"
"Will you get off my back?-
"You were 4 hours Elise!"
She frowned in realisation,
"I-I was?"
"It's the stress isn't it" I sighed tucking her hair behind her ear,
She rested her cheek against my hand.
"How are you holding up" I asked softly.
She looked down, turning a deep shade of red.
"S-sore"
"I'm sorry." I said brung her close to me.
"Your so warm" she smiled,
"Your freezing come on let's get you to bed"
I put my arm around her and helped her upstairs,
I scooped her up and carried her bridal style.
"What's all this" she smiled,
"M'lady" I grinned.
I put her down on the bed and threw her one of my shirts,
"Get out of your wet clothes"
She undressed revealing her bruises Inbetween her legs and across her hips.
She pulled over a shirt.
Wincing as she sat down,
"Let me take a look-
She jerked away,
"It's alright, I just wanna make sure you don't have to go to the hospital"
She sat at the edge of the bed, and my thumb trailed across the inside of her thigh.
Her breath shakes and her eyes began to water.
"Does it hurt when I do this" I asked adding pressure.
She nodded gripping the mattress.
I gave her an apologetic smile as I kissed her bruises all over her body,
Her hips, shoulder blades, her thighs and chest.
"I know you might not wanna hear this right now but"
"Did he use protection"
She sniffled and nodded, "yeah h-he did"
I kissed the top of her head,
"Is there anything I can get for you or do you want me to call someone or just- anything I could do"
" I-is Jamie feeling better?"
"Yeah I think she is."
"Could you call Ricky and ask if she's busy tomorrow , I need her"
"You need girl talk huh?"
"I don't sound like myself, but yeah, I do" she rested her head against my chest.
"It's alright, I understand"
"I have a meeting with the police tomorrow about Hannah," I yawned,
"You sure you don't want me to come?"
"No, you have enough on your plate, I want you to rest and take some time for yourself"
She smiled,
"Your so warm"
"You said that already" I chuckled,
"I needed to say it twice"
"How about we stay in for tonight, movies, pizza and just get fat together"
"I cannot put on weight but I'm up for it"
I smiled at her mild understanding in common humour.
