Aftermath

-Two weeks Later-
-Chris's POV-

I solemnly peered out the bedroom window, the running water from the bathroom calmed me only slightly.
Rain drops rolled down the glass, grey skies, nothing but dullness.
I sighed and looked back at the empty bed.
Holding back the tears as I wrapped my arms around myself.
"I'm done" said Elise quietly.
I wandered into the bathroom helping her out of the tub,
I sat her on the toilet and dried her off,
Her emotions were stripped from her.
I helped her change.
"Let me help you now"
"No, no it's fine,"
"Chris, you helped me please"
I sighed and took my shirt off and she treated my burns on my shoulder and neck,
Her eyes scanned carefully across my torso,
She kissed each burn and hugged me gently.
"I was thinking, during the accident"
"Yeah?" I put my hand up the back of her shirt.
"They didn't see us get out of the car, they left"
"Okay? So.."
"So, as far as they are concerned we are dead."
"Your right."
"We have to do something before they do anything else"
  "We should inform the police"
"What will they do, they are no help,"
"They helped us last time,"
"But this ain't like last time, they haven't done anything besides we are the only ones who know what they look like,"
"So what do we do?"
"That's what I'm planning" she said snuggling into my bare torso.
"What are we gonna like kill them or somthing"
"I couldn't turn you into a killer" she shook her head.
"I would kill for you"
"We will find a way"
"They deserve to die by natural causes"
"So we will just have to keep an eye out for them then right?" I kissed her cheek.
She closed her eyes and smiled.
We heard a knock at our door
I got up and headed down stairs.
I opened the door to see Hannah rush in and hug me tightly, hysterically in tears.
"Hey hey, Hannah what's wrong" I hugged her,
"I saw him. I saw him again," she cried
"Again?!"
"At school, he walked passed us on the way home me and Laura got freaked out"
"What's going on" said Elise walking downstairs,
"Elise I'm scared, he's not gonna leave me alone!" She sobbed.
Elise hugged her tightly sitting her down.
"Shhh shh, I'm here we are gonna figure something out okay? I won't let him get to you"
She carried in crying I'm Elise's arms.
"Hannah i don't want you or Laura to go to school, for a while okay, I'm calling mom that your staying here tonight"
She nodded and snuggled into Elise for comfort.
"I'm really scared they hurt Laura, they know our school, how long will it take for them to find out where we live," she said scared,
"They won't find out because I'm gonna make sure they won't get that far."
"I brung this family into this mess, and I'm gonna get you out of it"
I looked over at Elise, and she looked dead serious.

-Elise's POV-

We cleaned up after dinner.
Hannah decided to help us both also.
"You don't  have to Hannah go chill out," said Chris
"No, if I'm staying here I may as well earn my keep"
I smiled and handed her some dried plates.
"It's getting late maybe we should all have a early night." Yawned Chris.
Hannah tugged on sleeve shyly,
"What is it?"
"It's kinda embarrassing"
"You can tell me" I said quietly,
"Ever since t-that time, I find it hard to s-sleep by myself in a different bed"
"I'll sleep next to you if you like"
"But Chris-
"I'll sleep in the spare room it's fine"

I lay next to Hannah,
"You just try and get some sleep okay?"
"Elise?"
"Yeah?"
"What if he wants me back?"
" I won't let him, don't you worry I don't break my promises"
"I love you Ellie"
"I love you too"
