-Chris's POV-
I awoke and dragged myself out of bed,
Elise lay fast asleep making me smile.
She seemed peaceful, for the first time she seemed content.
I headed downstairs and cooked up some toast, eggs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, whipped out that cereal and almond milk.
I even brung out some left over chicken wings that I baked in the over cause who doesn't want that for breakfast.
"Mmm mmm mm Chris your a genius" I chuckled licking my finger,
Elise came downstairs and her eyes went wide
"Ta Dah!" I smiled,
"Chris- you didn't have to-
"Nonsense,if your gonna live here then-
"Live here? Chris I can't I dunno- I-"
"What? Oh come on it's fine, here sit down" I smiled,
She sat down tense,
Beginning to eat up the grub I prepared.
"Listen I know I your nervous I can tell by the way you move but i just wanna say there is no need to be darling alright?"
"Please don't-
"Sorry, I'm sorry"
" no, I am. I am nothing but a hassle. My mother was right"
"Well when I meet your mom I will sure to tell her she is wrong"
She gave a small smile but it faded into a saddened tone.
"Sorry may I be excused?" She said getting up and heading to the bathroom.
Was it something I said?
She was gone for a good five minutes,
I knocked on the bathroom door and opened up to see her being sick into the toilet.
I put my hand on her back but she flinched and crawled away.
"Listen you gotta understand I'm not gonna hurt you"
She looked down,
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine I just took a bit of a dizzy turn that's all" she said getting up and flushing the toilet, washing her hands.
I grabbed her arm as she was about to walk out of the bathroom,
"I'm sorry if I offended you, I know what it's like I mean, I don't talk with my mom that much-
"No you don't know" she snapped, tears pricking her eyes,
"Sorry" she whispered calming down.
"No I do, I get it loud and clear"
She frowned and looked up still not daring to see eye to eye.
"My mum and dad argued a lot she I was younger and after I got into the the band I lost contact with her"
"I'm sorry" she said sadly,
"You see I get you okay?"
"No, you never will Chris" she said heading down stairs.
"What did I say?!" I yelled from the top of the stairs.
"What?"
"What did I say that upset you"
"Nothing"
"No it's not just nothing, obviously your pissed about something!" I began to get agitated.
"Your the only one getting pissed off here Chris-
"Answer my question"
***
"Bad things happen, alright? I'm not gonna discuss this with you further-
"Why?! Cause you don't trust me?"
"Is that what you think?"
"Yeah, you barely let me hold your hand"
"Why would you Anyways, I'm not your girlfriend or play thing!,"
"Oh you listen to Sarah then not me?" He said crossing his arms,
"Like you listen to me!"
"Oh okay then give me one example where I don't listen"
"I-
"Go then!" He beamed,
"I'm sorry that you do not understand Chris, mind you i don't understand your life as much as mine however, you live the life of luxury like you have forgotten what it's like to chew dirt. You host your fabulous dinner parties, with your amazing house and top brand cars, suits, makeup and shoes. That when you are faced with someone who has been through shit you don't know how to react. Maybe you should realise that bad things can happen to anyone, at anytime to good people like you" she said darkly yet calmly."I worked my ass off to her where I'm at" he growled,
"Yes, yes you did, but can you imagine what it must feel like to work as hard as you did but to no be in your place. The bands that never sprouted, the careers that never got noticed, their corpses lure the streets at night. Homeless men and women in debt.
Chris looked down.
"I need air"-Chris's POV-
I ton of guilt hot my stomach,
I headed out onto the front porch and sat next to her,
"Listen I'm sorry alright?!"
She put her hands over her ears
"Please don't yell no more, I hate it when people yell too much"
I sat down next to her,
"Come here" I said bringing her into a calm embrace, her head against my collar bone,
"I'm sorry" she said letting a tear fall onto my shirt.
"Shh your alright"
"I get too defensive when I get asked about past times that's my problem, I don't like arguing Infact I hate it"
"I won't talk about it no longer, if that's what you wish that is"
" yeah, maybe that's for the best"
"Okay, but if it becomes like a serious issue then I Maugham just have to ask"
She nodded,
"Deal?"
"Deal"
"Deeeal?"
"I said deal"
"Louder" I began to tickle her,
She began to laugh,
"Stop it! Ha ha!" She laughed
We stopped acting like kids,
"Aww"
"what?"
"You look so cute when you scrunch your nose"
"Nu-uh not cute" she said standing up,
Me also,
"Hey!!!" We heard someone yell,
We both looked at the drive seeing ghost running up the hill,
"Ghost what the hell are you doing here?!"
"I wanted to see the girl duh"
"Wait a minute your the girl from the cafe!"
"That's me" she blushed,
"No way you came all this way?!"
She nodded looking down.
"Chris made me do it"
"Y'all are crazy!"
"I know" I ginned,
"Hey can I do your makeup?"
"Sure"Hey guys hope you guys enjoyed this chapter,
This is a cheater to show that Elise can get quite defensive when confronted with questions about her past.
Which only worries Chris more.
So yeah that's the purpose of this one,
Comment what you think it really helps with writing
