Chris awoke the next morning and Elise was gone.
His eyes trembled around the empty room.
He emotionally stood up and stared out of the window noticing her motorcycle gone.
The tire tracks left as though she had left not so long ago.
He never went after her.
He needed her to be at peace, and by letting her go was the way to do it.
He looked over at where Elise used to sleep, finding a envelope on her old pillow.
His tattooed hands gently and nervously picked up the paper opening it slowly.
In the envelope was a small piece of paper carefully written a small sentence written carefully with a sharpie.
It read out.A wasp cannot leave the hive forever.
There was also a tidily drawn wasp in the corner.
In the bottom of the envelope there was a small charm which she had made herself.
It was real wasp dipped in a resin mold.
Chris held it close to him.
As he spent the rest of the day emotional.
He never said a word to the rest of the band. He didn't feel the need to make any communications with anyone.
He stayed silent all day.
The charm hung around his neck and stayed behind his shirt.
He headed downstairs in sweatpants and a hoodie.
The hoodie Elise would always borrow when she was cold.
He boiled the kettle and made himself a cup of tea.
Picking up the mug she used to drink from.
He sat at the table alone eating cereal when he glanced over at a black motorcycling helmet.
He frowned and picked up the helmet noticing the letters
W.A.S.P
Scratched on the back of it indicating she left it for Chris.
He grinned and put it on.On the other side of town, a fourteen year old had finished her afternoon prayers on her bed when she heard a branch crack from outside her window,
Hannah tiredly got up and looked out of her bedroo window,
Noticing Elise sitting on her motorcycle looking out at her.
"Elise! Come in!" She smiled and waved.
However to her prevail she sped off,
Hannah frowned but noticed a box that was sitting on her window pane.
She gasped and grabbed it, dumping it on her bed.
She excitedly opened the box and smiled revealing a vintage original vinyl record of 'Nevermind' by Nirvana signed by Kurt Cobain himself which Elise promised her.
She smiled and kissed it.
"Hannah? You okay?!"
"I'm great mom! Everything is great!"
---"Hello I'd like to apply for motorcycling lessons" smiled Chris.
He grinned as he knew he was gonna prepare to adapt to life without Elise.
His heart had faith in the letter,
He will live his life.
Waiting for her to return.
He would wait forever for her.Hey guys
