Ps. That photo is based off Elise's Father.-Chris's POV-
I dropped Elise off at work, and I drove to the local library.
I had to find out more about this Blastery family of hers.
And the library would be the one place I will gather information.
I sat myself at a computer a d searched up the name Lisa King.
Up popped up old news articles from the 80s,
I clicked on the site which showed these old newspaper articles and read across the headlines,'MOST SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MAN IN EUROPE REVELS GANG RELATED ANCESTRY"
'THE INFAMOUS BLASTERY FAMILY OF HALMSTAD'
'WAS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL BUSINESSMAN'S WIFE A PROSTITUTE?'
I began to realise that this family was highly under the public eye eye back in the day however mention of their children and even Elise are somewhat secretive.
I read through around 20 newspaper articles and ten websites and noticed that not one journalist or researcher knew how the fuck her earned so much money or what his business in money was.
I could be inherited but upon checking the graph on his wealth, he made the most money out of the family. Especially after his father died. His business seemed to grow after that.I looked at the pictures of the man, Edmund, or Ed.
They made my skin crawl, their pictures were only taken years ago.
Her mother, her mother was beautiful, hut troubled by the media, rumours of her past, she wasn't a typical 'rich mans wife'.
She was like e precious gem you would find In a local coffee shop once, but for the rest of your life you dream on meeting her again.
It reminded me of her, Elise. She had the same eyes. And the same blonde hair that she had in her eyebrows.
I sat back and stared at the pictures.
"Edmund Blastery huh?" Said the librarian making me flinch,
The humble librarian chuckled and plopped a massive pile of books on the desk.
"You doing a history assignment?" He asked,
"N-no just tryna figure something out" I shrugged,
"Well, I suggest you read this then" he said pointing to an older book,
"It was published in the 80s, it goes way back to the 1930s and covers some of the most successful
Business men and money investors to date, it covers members of the Blastery family throughout. Most of them were gangsters or hitmen back in the day" he said handing me this book."Thankyou"
"It helped me pass my exams a few years ago, it was my bible it might be yours too"
"Hey do you know how Edmund got all this money? What business did they run?"
"That's the thing, no one knows, it was never revealed, apparently only the rich of the rich invested in his business. this guy is still alive but changed his identity years ago"
"I see, well can I borrow th-
He stamped the book and smiled,
I took the book shoving it in my backpack, pulling my headphones up,
"Have a nice night!" Smiled the guy,
"You too"
I got in the car and drove back to Elise's work to pick her up,
I decided to take her out for dinner, I needed to clear my head and what better way than eating delicious food with the girl I l-
I looked down, she would never fall for me, she's barely my friend.
She doesn't trust me.
I looked over at my bag.
She must never find that book.Hey guys
