The kitchen had remained freezing over night got from Chris forgetting to turn on the heating.
They all ate breakfast in silence.
Tasting the fruitless fruits.
"The police want to ask you for a statement, as soon as possible preferably, I-incase you forget anything" said Chris sadly.
"I don't think I could forget any of this" she said silently.
Elise and Chris looked at each other with sad eyes.

The day was gloomy.
No one spoke to anyone throughout the day,
"Hey darling, i better take you home" said Chris softly as Hannah and Elise watched TV,
Hannah had her head rested on Elise's stomach.

Chris drove Hannah home.
As soon as Hannah got out of the car she clung to Elise's side and looked around making sure no one was to touch her,
Chris's mother opened the front door, almost running towards them, wrapping her arms round Hannah for dear life, then also Chris and Elise.
"Oh my, oh my, I thought I'd lost you," she cried.
"Here let's get you inside" she helped Hannah into the house,
Looking back at Chris and Elise.
"Thankyou" she whispered.
Chris put his arm around Elise and brung her close,missing the top of her head.
"Is there anything you need?"
"A walk?" She suggested.
He smiled and held her hand as they walked the streets of Chris's childhood neighbourhood.
They walked to the end of the street reaching a large field.
Chris jumped over the barbed wire fence and picked Elise up by the hips lifting her over,
"There we go"
They walked hand in hand, as the wind hit their faces.
They both admired the view.
"He got away?"
"Huh?"
"My father,"
"What's gonna happen now?"
"That's what scares me, I am unsure"
"He might have ran away in fear"
"Let's just hope he returns to Sweden and stays away from you and your family"
"And you," frowned Chris,
"He is already apart of my life, I do not want him to be apart of anyone else's, especially you or Hannah, unfortunately I have failed you and Hannah has already been affected"
"It's not your fault don't think like that"
"As much as I want to believe you I must disagree, if it wasn't for me insisting to travel to Halmstad Sweden then none of this would have happened."
"But if it wasn't for me, poking into your business and your past, you would have never thought of the idea"
She rested her head on his shoulder.
"It has to get better, right?"
"It always does. Just time will tell"
