When you wake up you've realised it. You totally have a crush on Draco Malfoy. You're mad with yourself. Sure, you had something like a crush at him after the first day of school, but then he had started to act all douchy and you thought you were totally over him. And then you met him last night and everything was really nice. Well, maybe this time he'd keep being nice.

You go to your first class, it's potions and this is the class you most often get paired up with Draco so you're a bit nervous.
You arrive together with some of your friends, trying to see if you can catch a glimpse of Draco. You see a group of Slytherins standing outside the classroom and there, in the middle, is Draco. He sees you, but the look isn't at all like the one he gave you last night. He's back to his normal state, really cold and not very nice at all. Your heart sinks.
You look away and start concentrating on your friends instead. When class starts, you sit down with them and hope to be paired up with one of them. Anthony for example. He was quite good at potions, so that would be a good partner. Or Mandy. Or Su. Or someone else. The possibilities are endless. But of course you hear "L/N and Malfoy", which you would have been really happy about an hour ago, but right now you just kind of felt like crying. You had been stupid to think things had changed. You would now just have an other lesson being ignored.
You collect all the ingredients and return to your seat. Then you hear a soft whisper in your ear.
"Hi"
You look up at Draco who gives you a short smile before returning to his cold state, starting to chop up ingredients. You feel a streak of happiness, he wasn't completely ignoring you at least. He had shown that a part of the person you thought he really were was still there.
He doesn't look or say anything more in the same way, but he speaks to you the whole lesson in the same manner everyone else speaks to their working partners. That's a big improvement.
After the lesson ends he quickly returns to his friends, only giving you a short nod before he goes.
