It is now a month into the term. All schoolwork has gone great, and you had now your own opinion of the houses. Staying with Ravenclaws is easiest. They truly accept you and you had made some great friends. Hufflepuffs are really nice as well, you've talked to quite a few of them and feel that they're reliable. Gryffindors are harder. There are some nice people, but you did not agree with the Creevey brothers about Potter. He, along with his friends and some others were just a bit too full of themselves. Hermione, part of "the golden trio", was used to being the top of the class, always trying to show off her knowledge. And she definitely did not like you, especially after one time when you had had a laughing attack after hearing her trying to point out things for the millionth time to the teacher. She also didn't like that you, in fact, actually always knew all the answers to the teachers questions, you just didn't feel like raising your hand. So when the teachers got sick of Hermione always trying to show off, they started asking you to answer or show the class different things instead.

Potter was such a dramaqueen and you did not understand what Cho saw in him. Or what Michael saw in that Weasley girl. She was so annoying. You thought that Malfoy's nickname Saint Potter suited him perfectly.

Speaking of Malfoy, you could unfortunately not say that your impression of the Slytherins was much better that the Gryffindors. It had started well, when Malfoy walked you to the library, but then all of a sudden he changed and you hadn't seen that side of him ever since. At first you had thought it had something to do with his friends, but you have by now reached the conclusion that this is not the case. You had probably just imagined that side of him. He is exactly like that stuck up, spoiled "king of the Slytherins" the others think he is. You had worked in groups with him and in the beginning you tried to be as nice as possible but it is impossible to be nice to a person who won't look you in the eyes and only gives answers as short as possible when you ask something. Now if you were placed in the same group you quickly decide what each person will do and then you won't talk to each other after that.

It's weird though. You know he isn't talking to you, and every time you get closer to him, he looks away but still you've caught him staring at you from time to time. Like, in class when you can suddenly feel this burning stare and first try to ignore it but then just have to see who it is. All those times, it was Malfoy that was looking at you.

He acted like such a jerk most of the time you saw him, but there were moments when you'd seen him smile and act a lot different towards his friends. Pansy Parkinson had obviously noticed the tension between you and Malfoy, and gave an evil grin when she saw how uncomfortable you got when you and Malfoy were paired up.

But then one night, while you are walking back to the Ravenclaw tower after studying in the library, you think you see someone hurrying away out to the grounds. You get curious, and decide to follow them. You aren't actually allowed to go out at this hour, but you ignore that.

You walk outside, searching for the person you'd seen. But they seem to have disappeared. At first you think you should return inside, but it's a lovely evening. Quite warm, and a clear sky with the full moon showing. You feel like just sitting down and enjoying it for a moment. There's a tree right beside you, so you decide to go and sit down.

And all of a sudden you see someone sitting there, gazing at you. You jump out of scariness, but then you see who it is. Draco. And the look he gives you isn't like the ones he's given you during this past month. It's completely calm, he has a soft little smile and looks absolutely perfect. Your heart skips a beat, but then you get unsure. He hasn't exactly been nice to you, why would that change all of a sudden? You should probably go inside. But then again, the first day of school he had been really nice, and judging by the way he looks at you right now, it is that person and not the Malfoy you have some classes with that is sitting there.

"Is it ok if I sit here too?" you ask him, trying to sound as calm as possible.

He doesn't say anything, but gives you an accepting nod. You sit down next to him and relax. This could be a very awkward moment, but it truly isn't. You don't say a word to each other, both just sits there, but it's peaceful and really nice. After ten minutes or so, Draco breaks the silence for a moment.

"I like sitting out here, being away from everyone else for a moment. This is where you can think and be yourself for a little while."

You look at him, but don't say anything. You aren't a 100% sure he was actually talking to you, since he's staring in front of him. You sit and look at him for a few moments until he turns around and looks straight at you with his amazing grey eyes. There's a slight wind that blows through your hair, and that messes up his a bit. Your eyes break apart, and you think he's almost blushing a bit. That's just silly. Of course he isn't.

"It's getting late, I should probably go to bed now" you say and get up.

"Yeah, I'll follow you inside"

You walk side by side, not looking at each other, and when you come inside you say a short "goodnight" and return to your common rooms.
