First (Draco Malfoy x reader)

Chapter 9- reactions

  You go to class together, hand in hand. Well, first you have to get your things, they're still scattered all over the corridor floor.

Your friends look surprised but happy when you approach them. You can see everyone from class whisper to each other which makes you a bit nervous, but then you feel Draco's grip tighten which gives you strength. Mandy sneaks up to you and whispers in your ear.

"I know I suggested this as revenge but I didn't think you'd actually go through with it"

"Oh, right. I'd forgotten about that but I guess that's a nice bonus" you say and both giggle.

"Hey, I wanna know what's so fun too". Draco leans towards you with a curious smile.

"Nothing" you and Mandy say at the same time, and starts laughing again. Not that it actually was very funny, you just are in the kind of mood that makes everything hilarious.

"I'm happy for you" she says quietly so that Draco won't hear. "I've been rooting for the two of you since I guessed your feelings judging by your reaction to my revenge plan. I really hope this works out. Now go get that revenge!" She says and pushes you and Draco in the direction of his Slytherin group.

You can feel that Draco's a bit nervous too now. But when you reach his friends he takes on his most majestic expression.

"You all know Y/N. From now on I want you to accept her as a part of our group. You will be seeing her a lot from now on since she's my girlfriend and I'm not planning on letting her go. Any complaints will go to me and will be completely ignored. Understood?"

Everyone nods and smiles. Well, everyone but Pansy. A girl named Millicent (who's really nice, you've talked to her before) smiles brightly and says

"Welcome Y/N! I hope you won't find us too boring, and congrats you both 💙"

"Thanks" Draco says and hugs you hard and kisses you on the head.

You can see Pansy groan and look at her and then turns your face towards Draco and kiss him. Ha, I won.

Someone comes from behind and puts their arms around you to a hard hug and you hear Su's voice.

"AAAH I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!! Ever since I heard from Mandy that you had a crush on him I've been hoping you'd succeed!"

She then realises she's said this for everyone to hear and goes bright red. And so do you. But Draco only laughs.

Your whole day is buried in this fluffy cloud that only allows happy feelings and everyone around you are happy for your sake as well it seems.

But after your last class (not with Slytherin so you are alone right now) you are approached by some of your friends. Speaker of the group is Terry.

"Are you really sure of this whole Malfoy business? He's not a nice guy and it will for sure just end with him doing something stupid and hurting you. We only say this to help you, it's better this way. Hope you understand. We only care a lot about you and it would break our hearts to see you get hurt."

This only makes you mad.

"Yes, I'm sure."you say in a voice that both sounds cold and furious at the same time. "I really like him and he won't hurt me! He really is a nice guy if you get to know him, but you haven't even thought of trying to get to know him. You just base everything on what you imagine, not the truth. But of course you would be against him. You (you look at Michael) have your perfect little Gryffindor girlfriend and the same goes for you Cho. You have your perfect Saint Potter so it's obvious that you couldn't even imagine to hang out with a Slytherin. The feud between Slytherin and Gryffindor has nothing whatsoever to do with us, until you decide to take sides. So you're not actually caring about me, you care about yourselves and taking the 'right' side. But you know what: I judge people for who they are, not their houses. And these people haven't done anything to make me wanna stop talking to them (ok, not entirely true, they haven't exactly been nice all the time but that's not the point here). So if you have a problem with me and Draco -fine! Just don't expect me to ever talk to you again."

They look incredibly shocked, and suddenly you hear applause and cheering from behind you.
"Well said!", "Go Y/N" and other things. You turn around and see Draco with his fellow Slytherins accompanied by Mandy and Su.

You get a bit embarrassed, but smile and walk towards them, leaving 4 still quiet people behind.
You take Draco by the hand and together with Millicent, Mandy, Su, Crabbe and Goyle you head to a spot outside on the school grounds. It's sunny outside. A bit chilly since it's Autumn but Mandy and Su brought blankets for everyone and since you sit together it's not that cold but cosy instead. You sit and talk about everything between heaven and earth until it's time for dinner. There probably haven't been Ravenclaws and Slytherins this good friends ever before.

When you get to the great hall, it's still quite empty, but you see Terry, Anthony and Michael sitting at one end of the table with some empty seats beside them. This is where you would usually sit and it could be a good opportunity to make up with them. Or you could sit at the other end of the table and ignore them. You choose the later one.

You, Mandy and Su continues a conversation about which animal is the perfect pet that you started earlier. Several times during the dinner you and Draco glance at each other. You smile and wink to him. He blows you a kiss.

"Hey, did you see Pansy's reaction to that just now?" said Su, who had apparently been watching. "It's amazing"

You look over at Pansy, who sits a few seats from Draco. She's glaring jealously and is looking almost nauseous. 

"This is so the best moment of my day" says Mandy half laughing after doing a face towards Pansy and getting back exactly the reaction she wanted. "Well, besides finding out the two of you got together of course" she adds and gives you a hug.
