A/n: uhh it's been such a long time since I updated but now I'm done with school (yay!) I'm sorry if I'll rush the 6th year, it's just that I have an idea where I want to take the story later on so if I wrote lots here it would probably become obvious fillers and I prefer writing ideas I have for the story. But if anyone has a suggestion of something minor that could happen, feel free to tell me^^

It was time for the quidditch tryouts. You saw posters everywhere in the common room, and wondered how many would be applying for the team. You weren't that confident in your flying, but had always thought it seemed fun to play quidditch. Last year you had wanted to focus on your studies since it was your first year, and besides you didn't wanna compete against Draco. But this year he had mentioned he wouldn't be playing... I suppose I could always go to the tryouts and see if I decide to do it.

"Do you want to have a picnic with us on Saturday Y/N?" Mandy asks.

"Oh.. I was actually thinking of applying to the quidditch team this year, so I'm going to the tryouts."

"You are? Hmm maybe I should too. I've always enjoyed watching, why not try and play too? It would be fun to do it together."

"Really? That'd be great! I'm really nervous to go there by myself and it would be really nice to have you there!"

"I'll just tell the others that we'll be later then. Hopefully they'll save us some food." Mandy smile.

"Don't be so sure. Terry eats tons so if Su is bringing him we'll probably starve no matter how much food they bring." You say with a dark face, and then burst out laughing.

Saturday arrives. You walk down the lane to the quidditch pitch together with Mandy. Wow, there are a more people here than I expected.

"Mandy, are you sure we should do this? There are so many people, we probably don't have much of a chance anyway."

"What's up with you? Of course we should try! You're not the kind of person who just gives up are you?"

You take a deep breath. "No. You're right. Let's do this."

You hear someone shout, probably the captain of the team. "OK, EVERYONE TRYING OUT AS CHASER STAND HERE. KEEPERS THERE AND BEATERS OVER THERE!"

You go and stand by the chasers (sorry if you prefer something else I just figured chasers are the biggest group in a team so...) while Mandy goes to the beaters. You hadn't seen her play and couldn't tell if she'd be good or not but she certainly seemed the most confident amongst the group. I wish I could be that confident too. No shut up Y/N. You ARE that confident. I will do my best and become a member of the team for sure!

You feel the wind against your face as you mount your broom and take off into the air. You are supposed to try and score goals and show off your skills. When it's your turn you become completely focused. You no longer notice the people on the ground watching you. And you start scoring. Of course you fail a few times but it's still enough for you to be the best one so far. But there are still 4 people left so nothing's certain yet.

You watch as next person mount their broom and take off. Since Mandy already did her tryout as well you decide to go to the picnic instead, you will learn who's in the team anyways tonight and even if it's fun watching the others it'd be nice to get your focus on something else for a bit.

You see Su, Millicent and Terry sitting on a blanket in the grass with different sorts of food around them. You dig in hungrily and then tell the others about the tryouts.

"Nothing's certain yet though, we'll have to wait 'til tonight to find out." You finish.

"But you should have seen us!" Mandy says and stands up with a big smile. "We were great!" And then she starts making big gestures, showing the others both of our tryouts dramatically. Everyone laughs and in the end you've spent almost all of your day there. It's still bright outside when you notice it's actually dinner time.

"Finally!" Terry exclaims, and everyone laughs. You first need to leave the things from the picnic but then walk straight to the great hall.

You're exited to see Draco since you want to tell him about your day, even if you still aren't sure if you'll get the spot on the team, but don't see him so you sit down at your table.

After a while he walks into the hall, but he seems to be in a terrible mood and doesn't even glace your way. At first you want to go to him and try and cheer him up, but then you get the feeling that you shouldn't. You don't know exactly why, but it just seems like a bad idea. He probably just needs some space, and then he'll come when he's ready.

You finish eating, and leave with the others for the Ravenclaw common room. Or to be more exact you run back. The list of the new Ravenclaw quidditch team were supposed to be up at 19:00 and it's past that which means you'll find out as soon as you arrive.

There are a lot of people surrounding the notice board but you and Mandy push through them, eager to see if any of your names will be there. And... they are!! Both of them! You and Mandy scream and jump around together out of happiness. When you've calmed down a bit you take another look at the paper. First practice is tomorrow morning.... at 06:30.

"Nooo... are they trying to kill us?! We just became part of the team, they shouldn't try to get rid of us."moans Mandy.

"Well, I wanted it to be before noon and since we unfortunately placed worse than both Gryffindor and Slytherin last year they got to pic times before we did." You hear someone behind you say. Turning around you see the captain of the quidditch team, Noel Harwich (ok so he might actually be the wrong age and stuff but he's an actual Ravenclaw and since I don't know who was the actual captain I WILL IGNORE THE TRUTH🌼). He was tall, with dark brown hair and grey eyes, and was someone one did not mind looking at. He gave both you and Mandy a dashi smile adding, "but I'm sure you'll manage and that we will succeed a lot better this year."

"Uhmm y- yes. I hope so" you feel yourself mumbling. Wow. I'm so impressed by your talking skills Y/N you thought to yourself. It wasn't that you were attracted to him in THAT way, but when a handsome guy stares at you with that kind of smile it's hard to not blush and feel a bit pathetic.

Mandy on the other hand managed to be perfectly unaffected by him, just muttering "it's still too early". But then she shone up, stating "I'm sure we'll succeed better this year! You have me and Y/N now so what could possibly go wrong?" in a cocky tone.

Noel laughs and says "well, I'll see you tomorrow then. I recommend you go to bed soon, I don't accept late arrivals."
