Chapter 15- summer

Draco.
Today I saw the most adorable bunnies in the garden. They were so happy, jumping and rolling around, and they weren't at all afraid of me! I wish you could have seen it too. I know you would have liked it even if you would never admit it. I can't believe it's only two days left until I can see you again! I'll take you to all my favourite places, which I hope you'll like as much as I do, and we could go and try out a café I've found in a village nearby. I haven't wanted to go there before since it's full of extremely happy couples and I don't want to go inside alone but it seems really nice and if you're with me we can be one of those couples sitting there enjoying ourselves ❤ Haha, I know exactly what look you'll have reading that, but I promise it'll be fun :)

Heh, Draco would really hate the look of the café but it really did seem nice. And everyone inside seemed so happy, you really wanted to feel that way too.

It had only been 3 weeks since you left Hogwarts, and you had had fun, but a lot of it had been finding places you wanted Draco to see. You had also been taking care of your mother's favourite part of the garden, growing different plants. It had been quite interesting and you had learnt lots about which plants that are edible and which are not. Haha, Professor Sprout would be proud of me taking such an interest in this.

"DRACOOOO" you scream happily as you see your boyfriend arriving at your house, throwing yourself around his neck. He laughs and hugs you.

As you walk toward your room (your father had finally accepted to let Draco stay in your room) to leave Draco's luggage he says:
"So where are we going to first? Judging by your letters we have like a million places to visit so I suggest we begin as soon as possible."

"Then how about we go get some ice cream and then I can show you our garden? I'm fully aware of how many places I want to show you but first I kinda just wanna be with you without doing much for an afternoon"

"That sounds great." He takes your hand and you walk together to the kitchen before walking into the garden. You sit down at your favourite spot and talk.

After a while you hear a voice.

"I hoped to find you two here! Welcome to our humble house Draco, I very much hope you'll enjoy your stay here."

"Oh, hi Mr L/N. It's very nice to see you again. Thank you so much for letting me stay here." Draco tries to stand up to give your father a proper greeting but is stopped.

"No need at all to get up! I was actually hoping to get a picture of the two of you." He shows the old camera he's been holding.

"I see where Y/N has gotten her will to photograph every event from." Draco says with a smile, then tells your dad "you know, she's been taking so many photos this last year everyone thinks she's up to something, wanting to use them for some purpose."

"Well, I WILL use them - I like making photo albums you know. That way you will always remember everything much better. I'm actually making one for us right now" you say, blushing a bit.

"That's my daughter through and through" your father says with a proud voice. "So how about I take that photo then? Act happy"

"I don't need to act, I am happy." Draco says with a big smile and hugs you.

"Mandy's family is visiting a nearby town today, let's go there and meet her!" You tell Draco two days later.

"Sure. It'll be great to meet someone who isn't you." Draco says with a grave voice, then jumps away laughing from your elbow trying to hit him in the waist.

"Eyy that's wrong reaction!"

"Then how about this?" He says, hugs you in a not normal way then stating dramatically "oh no! I don't ever want to rest my eyes on another girl but you! Let's not go there! If we do I'll have to pop my eyes out so I can't see her!"

Laughing you say: "no need to go that far. What about a normal reaction like 'ok sure that sounds like a nice idea'?"

"Ok sure that sounds like a nice idea"

"Good, let's go then!"

"What about breakfast? Can we please eat first?"

You sit in the sun outside a small café together with Draco and Mandy.

"So how long will you be staying with Y/N then?" Mandy asks Draco.

"I'm staying for two weeks. I came three days ago, so that leaves a week and a half before I have to go back to reality."

"I wish I could go see Millicent. Her family is traveling all summer so I can't though, which sucks."

"But then you'll be just that much happier when you see her next time since you've missed her more." You say. Mandy gives you a look that would probably be the one you'd give someone saying the same thing if you wouldn't have been able to see Draco all summer. "Ok, yeah I admit that is a really stupid thing to say. I know it sucks, but it's hard to do anything about it. You can come visit me anytime if you want to if that's any kind of comfort though."

Draco makes a tiny cough, wraps his arm around your shoulders and kisses you on the cheek.

"Ok, please come visit me anytime you feel like it that is after Draco leaves."

"Are you taking one of my best friends from me in this time of need?! This is absurd! I need her to complain about my unhappiness, you just need her to be happy!"

"Speaking of best friends - have you heard anything from Su? I got a letter one or two weeks ago but it didn't say much and I haven't heard anything since"

"No, it's the same for me. I mean come on what kind of friends are you? Here I am missing my girlfriend and instead of having friends here to support me I have one who doesn't say anything and one who prefers being happy with her boyfriend."

"I completely support the latter one's choice" Draco adds in embracing you closer. You lean in and give him a soft, quick kiss.

"Where are your family though? I thought you were coming here with them?"

"Yeah, I did. Mom wanted to visit some shops with muggle clothes since she needs new ones to not look like she comes straight from a 30 years old movie but they should be around here somewhere. We said we'd meet by the statue over there at 4 o'clock."

You're lying on top of your bed together with Draco.

"Are you sure you're fine with this?"
"Yes for the thousand time"
"I love you you know? If you don't want this that's fine and I'll wait"
"Omg please just start instead of asking me this so many times!"

"I can't believe it's already been two weeks. What am I supposed to do now?"

"Miss me and write me long letters of course. I think I'll be booked up for most of the summer now but I promise to write you when I can and you should know I'll think about you all the time."

He kisses you goodbye before stepping into the fireplace saying "Malfoy manor".
