It's been almost a month since you saw Draco last time. You're starting to get worried, something is clearly not right. You walk around the castle, not sure where you're going and all of a sudden in an empty corridor you think you hear something. Strange. You must have been here before but at the same time something about the corridor seems a bit off. You can't tell exactly what it is so you keep walking slowly. All of a sudden you think you hear something from behind a door. Wait, that's it- has this door always been here? Obviously it should have, rooms don't just pop up.... but then again you can never be completely sure when it comes to Hogwarts.

You decide to look inside and quietly open the door and step inside the room. Wow. It's a quite big room, filled with different furniture, books, clothes and other things. You walk forward when you hear someone swear. You walk to the place you think it came from, and even though you didn't really know what you expected it certainly wasn't this.
Draco is sitting on the floor leaning against some old shelf, his head in his hands, quietly mixing swear words with.... sobs? At first you're not sure what to do, but decide to reveal yourself and try to comfort him. You quietly bend down on your knees beside him.
"Draco..."
He flinches hearing someone speak but quickly realises it's you and tries to smile "oh.. y/n.. I was just..." but then he can't hold back his tears completely and they start falling.
You put your arms around him and hold him tight, resting your chin on his head. He hugs you back.

"Look, Y/N... about yesterday.."
You stand in the hallway with Draco. It's clear that he thinks bringing up the day before is awkward, having to think of the fact that you found him crying.

"You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to Draco. I wish you'd let me in on whatever it is that bothers you so much, but don't feel forced to tell me anything. I just hope you come to me if you feel bad."

"I want to tell you, Y/N - I hate keeping secrets from you. But telling you wouldn't be fair to you, you shouldn't get involved in this. I'll do my best to get it over with and then we'll spend the summer together again, ok?"

You look into his eyes and see them pleading to you to accept what he just said.

"Of course. I trust your judgement."

Your answer makes him light up, even if it's just a little bit.

"Now, it's a free day and it's nice weather outside, let's take a walk around the school grounds, we haven't had the chance to do that in forever. I'm sorry if you feel I've been neglecting you, I really don't mean to do that." Draco then states, and grabs your arm.

Weeks later you sit at a table in the common room when a tired Su comes up to you.

"Y/N I haven't slept this bad ever. I had so many nightmares last night, I'm sure something truly bad is about to happen."

"That's ridiculous, are you sure you didn't eat something strange yesterday and that's the reason you slept badly? It's not like you usually dream prophesies."

"I know I don't, but this time I'm sure! I've had a really bad feeling for a while now and with last night being so as, I'm sure the bad thing will happen at any time now."

It wasn't long after that you got the message:

"Dumbledore is dead."
