You stand in the group of Hogwarts students, facing the death eaters. Everything is quiet. You can't hear anything but the blood pulsing through your veins as you stand beside your friends, hand in hand with Draco. You see the Dark Lord standing in between the two groups, and as he turns to face his followers he opens his arms wide, declaring "Harry Potter is dead!"
The death eaters laugh at his words, and as he turns around you can hear his laughter too.
"And now is the time to declare yourselves. Come forward and join us... or die."
You see someone you recognise in the group of Death eaters. It's Lucius Malfoy. He stretches his hand forward, and whispers (quite loudly) "Draco!"
You can feel Draco's panic through your hand as he clasps your hand even tighter.
"Draco!" his father says again, and you can see Narcissa by his side as well, erging her son to go to them.
Draco looks at you without turning his head completely and whispers "come with me."
You look straight ahead of you and feel everything inside of you falling apart. "I can't. I need to stay here. I hoped you would too, but I understand if you have to go." You turn and look Draco straight in the eyes. "Please just remember how much I love you."
"I will never stop loving you" Draco says as he lets go of your hand and start walking towards his parents.
You feel completely empty. It's as if all your senses grew numb in a second and even though you can see how Voldemort embraces Draco, and see how his parents greet him relieved, you don't really SEE it. And when Neville steps up and has some kind of speech you can hear him talk but can't understand WHAT he's saying.
You see how people start moving, the fight has apparently not ended but you don't really understand what's happening.
You feel someone dragging you away and see that it's Mandy.
You are running away from the castle but then there's a black blur coming for you. Mandy releases your arm and yells something to you but you can't understand what.
The forest is getting closer, but the blur is there again. You see that it's a death eater. Then everything turns completely black as you fall to the ground.

Mandy opens her eyes. She hears people talking nearby and tries to look around. Ouch. It hurts like hell. Someone comes up to her, wearing a nurse outfit. Of course. I'm in a hospital. She thinks. But why am I here? What happened? Then it all comes back to her. The death eater who suddenly appeared as she and Y/N were fleeing, how she yelled for Y/N to run. How she tried to fight him but couldn't, and instead fell harmed to the ground. How the last thing she saw before everything went black was Y/N falling to the ground a bit further away.
She sat straight up in the bed, ignoring the pain and looking wildly at the nurse.
"Y/N! I saw her! She- she.. is she..."
"I am so sorry honey. There were other people here checking for her but I'm afraid.."
"NO! She can't be dead!"
"I'm afraid she must be. There were traces of where she must have fallen and if she were attacked by the same person as you then there's no surviving on her own without treatment."
A/N: AAAand I will end everything right there (sorry for the short chapter). BUT DO NOT FEAR DEAR READER! Even if this story has ended there is still hope! I will do a second series/book (or whatever you wanna call it) with a better ending (because I hate bad endings) so if you're interested, please keep on reading that one <3 I just thought I had to write it seperately since they won't be children anymore^^ Thank you so much for reading, it has taken a long time but I finally finished this one at least! And I'll try to write next one quicker ^^'
