Flashback

"Daddy I can't breath!" I cried struggling under the bag that dad had put over my head and tied so it would stay there.

This always happened when I was a bad girl. The tighter the rope was around my neck became tighter with how bad I was.

"Shut up Mae or I'll make it tighter!" Dad warned.

I began to shake and try to grip onto the rope to loosen it a little so I could breathe, but it was too tight and I couldn't get a good breath. It was dark under the bag, but I could feel myself starting to black out.

"Dad?" I croaked out as I fell into complete darkness.

End flashback

Breathe Mae. You're ok. Breathe...just breathe. Unfortunately trying to control my breathing with my head under this bag was easier said then done, especially with my hands bound behind my back. I didn't know where I was or what was going to happen and I was scared. C'mon Mae you're stronger an this. Officer grimes will come for you. He did last time...just breathe. Flinching I heard a door swing open and hit the wall. Footsteps approached me as I was yanked to my feet,

"C'mon girl move" came a voice from my left as I was forced to start walking.

Two arms wrapped tightly around each arm as I'm led to my destination. Breathe Mae. I just let them take me to wherever they were taking me and hoping for the best even though I knew nothing good could be happening from this. I tried to fight out of their grip as I heard another door open and I was pulled along as the breeze hit my skin along with warmth. I had to be outside now. We kept walking until we came to a complete stop. My breathing picked up and I knew trying to stay calm wasn't going to happen when suddenly the bag was ripped off me head. I gasped for breath and my eyes widened when I saw I was at the edge of a building causing me to scream. The only things keeping me from falling down was the two men's arms wrapped around my arms. Looking down fearfully I saw daryl and officer grimes along with a few others looking up at me. Shaking, I made eye contact with daryl who started charging at a man only to be held back by officer grimes. Daryl looked back up at me as my breathing quickened. Suddenly I was jerked back from the side of the roof and I looked over seeing the man about to put the bag over my head. I shook my head fearfully. I didn't want to go back into the darkness.

"Daryl!" I yelled as my breathing hitched when the sack was placed over my head and I was dragged back.

"Mae!" I heard someone yell.

My breathing quickened as I was lead back into the cold, silent building. If I didn't calm down soon I knew I was going to pass out and that wouldn't have been good for me. I was brought to a stop again and the sack was ripped from my head. I looked around fearfully and saw the man that was with daryl and officer grimes moments before standing infront of me. I began breathing heavily and glared at the man to try to show him I wasn't afraid, but I don't think it was working. The man smiled softly at me,

"My name is Guillermo and you must be Mae."

I glared and just grunted at the man.

"I do apologize for this. We are not bad people and I just have to keep them safe so you must understand. We are not going to harm you." He said calmly.

"Then why am I being held here?" I growled.

"Leverage. You seem to be an important member to them. Both of the men I just met with seem to care an awful lot about you." He said causing me to arch an eyebrow.

Daryl didn't care about me. He was probably just pissed that this situation was taking away from looking for his brother.

"And they have Felipe's cousin and as soon as they return with him and the bag of guns, you are free to go" he said.
