Lizzie's POV

It's a monday morning. And, i'm late! Surprise! This is the first time that I was late for work. I've never been late since I started working for Seb.

15 minutes had passed, a lot of people are already on the station waiting for the train. Naiinis na ang iba, pano naman.. 15 minutes pa daw bago dumating ang train. That makes it 30 minutes total.

My phone won't stop ringing. I took it out from my bag. "Hello?" I said without looking at it.

"Hi. Morning. Where you at?" That's Sebs voice.

His voice send shivers down my spine. This is the first time we ever had a phone convo since I started working for him. He don't call me, I don't call him. Because there's no reason to do so.

"Nasa train station pa dito samin. I'm sorry, mag extend na lang ako later."

"Do you want me to pick you up?" He offered.

"Ah, no. I'm ok. Padating na din naman yung train." I answered. Why does he offer to pick me up? Ganun ba kadami ang trabaho ko ngayon?

"Ok. Take care, see you here." Seb ended the call.

Seb's been trying to start up a conversation between us these past few days after our dinner at Tita Terry's house. He'll ask questions like; How's my day? If i'm having a hard time with the load of work he's giving me? If I need any assistance? He's even asking my plans for weekends? Where I'd like to go for vacation. Which I answer in one liner. Like; I'm ok. No. No plans and No idea.

I don't want to start a conversation with him, not because I hate him or what. I just don't want to, because i'm protecting my heart.

Why are you protecting your heart? You're just going to talk to him. Why the need to protect your heart?

Mas mabilis na dumating ang train. After 5 minutes, nakasakay na din agad ako.

Memories starts coming back.

"You wanna go out tonight?"
"Sure! San tayo pupunta?"
"Basta, it's a surprise. So, see you later?" He winked.
"Yes!" I nodded, I smiled. My heart is dancing in happiness.

He's been a friend for more than 2 years now. We go out every weekends. He'll pick me up from work. Yeah, you can say we're like "boyfriend & girlfriend" except there's really no label. We just enjoy each others company.

Until that unfaithful night.

I start preparing for my date tonight with Chris. I look at myself in the mirror.

"Should I tell him? I should. I mean, there's nothing to lose. He feels the same way. Why would he pick you up from work, go out with you every weekends if not?"

Umikot ako sa harap ng salamin. I'm wearing a red dress, topped with a black cropped cardigan and a ballet type doll shoes. I feel beautiful and sexy tonight.

"Ready ka na?"
Tinignan ko ang pinto ng kwarto. Nakasilip si Chris.
Tumango ako, I sprayed a perfume on my pulse, then at the back of my ears. "Ready!" Excited kong sabi.

Sumakay kami ng kotse n'ya. His car stopped in front of a high class resto. Hindi ito yung normal na resto na kinakainan namin. What is he planning? Is he planning to confess his feeling for me too? Lalo akong na-excite.

We went inside. There's already a table reserved for us. We were guided by one of the staff.

Why are there 4 chairs? Isn't this supposed to be just a date between us? There will be 2 more person joining us? Those are the questions running in my head as I look at the round table with a tall candle in the middle and 4 chairs circling it.

"Chris.." I called out his name as soon as I sat down on the chair opposite to his.
"Yes?" He looked at me after he put down his phone on the table.
"We're expecting - " His words cut what I'm about it say.
He nodded. "Yes." He smiled. "I set you up for a date with my girlfriends brother.."
I can't believe what I just heard. "Girlfriend?" I repeated.
"They'll be here in.."
Before he finish his sentence, I stood up. "Rest room lang ako."

Bumaba na 'ko ng train. It is a 10 minutes walk from the train station to the building where our office resides.

Girlfriend. I can't believe what he just said. He has a girlfriend?

"Chris!" I heard a girl called out his name.

Then I bumped into someone.

"Hey!" Said the person that I bumped into.

Hindi na 'ko lumingon. I don't wanna see him. I don't wanna see him with anyone than me. I can't help but cry. It was not what I expected.

I hailed a taxi. Umuwi ako sa bahay, luhaan. Two years, I thought.. He loved me, the way that I love him. But it wasn't the case. He had a girlfriend, pano? He'll pick me up after work, we'll have date on weekends. How come he had a girlfriend? Was it only a dream? I felt betrayed!

I removed my black cropped cardigan, my red dress, the ballet style doll shoes and the perfume. I took a box out from my closet and put everything in there. I don't wanna see these things, ever again.
