Lizzie's POV

I went out the office. Head to the same cafe where I usually take my lunch. I ordered the same food, tuna sandwich and strawberry shake. I realized, I'm just like my sister. We can eat the same food over and over again without. complaining.

"Where are you?"

"Sa cafe. Why?"

"San yan banda?"

"5 minutes away from the office. I'm outside, you'll see me right away."

"Ok. I'll see you there."

She came in after 5 minutes. May hawak na box. "Happy Birthday!" Hinalikan n'ya ko sa pisngi. "Na-surprise ka ba?" Inabot n'ya sakin ang box na dala.

I smiled at her and nodded. "Didn't expect that you'll go here. Thank you." Tinignan ko kung anong nasa box, cake!

"Yan lang kakainin mo?" She asks while checking the menu.

I nodded. "Yeah. Same food that I eat, EVERY. SINGLE. DAY." I stressed out the last three words.

My sister ordered a cheeseburger and upsized the chips and drink.

"Gutom ka?"

"Super! Ang layo ng byahe from my office no? Let's go out tonight."

"May pasok pa bukas."

She rolled her eyeballs. "Ipagpapaalam kita kay Seb. Sabihin ko birthday mo."

"Sira, wag na.." Tanggi ko. Habang patuloy pa din ako sa pagkain.

"Tsk! Wag kang makulit. Mag enjoy tayo. Manood tayo ng movie, dine out, lakad-lakad."

We stopped talking nung dumating ang food n'ya. Hindi mo makakausap ang ate ko kapag kumakain or nanonood. Well, makakausap mo naman, pero hindi magtatagal hindi ka na din n'ya kakausapin. Hindi ata kayang mag multi-task ng ate ko.

Bumalik kami sa office. Binuksan ko ang pinto.

"Look, Lizzie.. I'm sorry earlier." He was standing next to the door. "Can we go out later instead?"

Tinulak ako ng ate ko, para makapasok s'ya. "Are you asking my sister out?" Nakataas ang kilay na tanong n'ya kay Seb.

Seb looks surprised upon seeing my sister. He is loss for words. "Ah.." He smiled at her. "What brings you here?" Pagbabago n'ya sa usapan.

"I'm asking you, Seb. Are you asking my sister out?" Pumasok na din si Ate sa room.

Seb guided her inside. She sat down opposite his chair. Bumalik na ko sa cubicle ko. Bahala silang dalawa na mag-usap. Pinatong ko ang cake na bigay ni ate sa desk ko, katabi nung cake na bigay ni Seb.

"Well, it's her birthday."

"How did you know it's her birthday?"

"Kate, it's not what you think it is ok? I'm just inviting her out because she's my assistant. It's her birthday and I wanna treat her out. She's been hard working and she deserves it."

Yeah right. Assistant. And yes, I really deserve it. Ito naman kasing ate ko, feeling n'ya eh gusto na kong i-date ni Seb. It's not like that.

Mahina na ang usapan nila. I can't really understand what they're talking about. Then I heard him start talking again.

"Ok, I'll allow her to go on leave tomorrow. In one condition."

"Grabe ka naman Seb! Birthday naman ng kapatid ko."

"She can go on leave tomorrow, only if I can tag along later."

Teka, sasama s'ya mamaya? So kung hindi s'ya kasama mamaya, I'd have to go to work tomorrow?
