chapter 1

After I finish my work for this morning I grab my bag and head down to the lobby where i will be meeting my officemates which happens to be my eating buddy everyday. I went to the information desk and found my oh so busy friend.

"kena aren't you coming with us?" I ask because i saw her busy on a thing so called phone and didn't bother to see if there is a person in front of her.She look up and put down her phone before giving me a confused look " of course I will, what was the question for?"

I tap her shoulder then replied "well as far as I can see you're too busy checking at your phone"

"where are we heading?" amy butted in waving her hands to our other office mates like she won a pageant.

"let's have lunch together!" she shouted to another girl who walks toward the revolving door.

As we head out from the building Amy ask "kath? where are we going?" who suddenly stop from walking. I think for a minute and came up with not a brilliant idea, I turn to the right and pointed the building in front of us.

"we will be having our lunch in jollibee!" I squeal in excitement.
they all look at me with a shocked expression

"what's with that look?" I asked walking ahead of them.

"you're kidding right? jollibee is for kids only kath" kena says trying to back out

"is there a law that says adults thou shall not eat in jollibee?" I responded grabbing kena's arm

"Geez kath you're unbelievable!" she retorted.

At the end I won the argument so we entered the jollibee and ordered our food. we take the seats beside the glass door and ate silently, i guess everyone is hungry because no one dared to talk while eating so I break the ice
"Amy, how's your work?"

"actually it's really hard, I never had a chance to relax, everyone in our department seems very important because as I observed we all need to deal with the time" she answered as she sliced her beef steak

"oh, I feel you amy, I don't even have the time to retouch" kena complained even her mouth is full of rice

"guys speaking of time I think we need to go back now"
we all look at amy whois waving her phone making us look at the time, all of us stand up and rush towards the exit and went to the road that headed towards the company where we all work. we didn't bother to finish our food since time is gold.

we separates our ways and waved goodbye and went to the elevator and press the 5th number.

after the 6 to 6 work I stand up and stretch my body.
"oh, it feels good" I yawn

"yeah, specially when you're in a spa and all you have to do is relax" maxine said putting some make up on her face never looking at me

"you're going somewhere max?" I said with a teasing sound walking in her table

"kath, I do have a boyfriend who needs my presence" she replied and stand up with her glorious outfit

"like I said" then I went straight to the elevator leaving her behind.

I took a taxi and give the driver my location and since I'm alone at my apartment I decided to stop by in the jollibee, I never had enough of their spaghetti and floats, call me childish but I won't exchange jollibee at any cost.

after the drive thru I instructed the driver to drove back to my location. I put all my things in the sofa and dug in directly to my food being alone is forever attached at food but never getting fat.

I looked around at my apartment and realize I've been here for almost 3 years, 3 years of being alone and no one to talk to except for my best friend CJ but his not around due to his work abroad so I am here left alone.
