Chapter 46

I am now on Cedi's apartment and if you think i was crazy i'll tell you yes, i don't know why but my heart says i need to give chance to him, that i need to listen and give trust to him. At first Arthur was opposed to this but i can't blame him, he's my fiancee and everyone knows how much he loves me and because of that love he choose to let me go.

I was on the mall when i receive i call from Arthur he told me that i'll meet him up to the Cafe where we used to go out. At exactly  3 pm after i bought all the things that i wanted i send a message to arthur telling him i am on my way.  I saw him on the table near the door sitting alone sipping on his cup so i entered the said cafe and smiled to him when he saw me, he  get all the stuffs that i bought and put it down to chair next to him. He let me sit first before he start the conversation.

" Kath, you're with me right now in presence and in mind but i know deep down it was not me"

"what do you mean?" i was confused at his words

"I'll let you go" his words stab my heart, it hurts my feelings does it mean he's going to give up on me. i look deep in his eyes and saw that  he's been crying before he got here.

"are you saying you give up on me? on us? i thought we will fight till the end. we talked about this over and over again art!" i said trying to hide the pain i feel

"i know but we can't get over with this when Cedi is around, i guess you both need to settle things out and talked about the baby, i promise i'll be here and ready to catch if everything is going to mess up" he lean closer to me and kissed my lips

"no art, please don't do this" i said holding his hands suddenly the door bells signaling someone came in i was shocked when i saw Cedi.

"i called him for the both of you to talk" after that he went outside the cafe and drive all the way until i can't see his car anymore.

Cedi is currently on his room with Elli i guess he wanted to talked about her, Arthur sent me a message saying that he bought a condo for me near at his office, he also made sure that all my things were on the said condo and everything is clean and arrange, he said it was good for us to cool off for the meantime that i don't need to worry about the engagement because he made all the people know that i called it off. I don't know if i feel happy or sad but right now i need to think for my baby's future.My thought were cut off when i saw Cedi and Elli come out from their room and they walked towards me.

"i need to talk to Kathrine alone, will you please give us some time" Cedi said as if on cue Elli get out from the apartment and i don't know where she goes. Cedi turn his attention to me and hold my hands.

"kath, will you wait for me? i need to settle everything for Elli, i just can't leave her alone, her parents despised her after they know that she was pregnant but when i came to them and told her parents that i'll stand for her they accept Elli and keep her in them but right now she needs me" Cedi explains, i just nod and let them do their business but for the meanwhile i need to recover from my fall down.

Tell me i'm crazy, stupid and a fool for accepting Cedi again but please it's my heart who says everything, i know i can control it but it keeps on killing me whenever i'm not around him. I went to the Condo where Arthur said and made my way to my bed. I want to rest and be stress free even for a while.

I didn't wake up and eat my dinner last night in result i feel so hungry this morning i eat like a cave man wanting a lot of food in my belly and specially i have my baby boy with me. I think he's hungry also, i feel so sorry that he feels what i also feel. A knock on the door made me jump from my seat and made me stop getting my spoonful. I went to the door and open it and saw Cedi with a bunches of groceries in his hands.

"what is this for?" i asked tailing him since he let his self in in my house without me inviting him.

"well, i don't want my family starve so i brought some groceries and i will be sleeping here tonight" he looked around the condo, looks like his looking for something "don't you have a refrigerator?" he asked turning his head on my direction. i shake my head and went back to my food. "guess i have to buy one, wanna come?" i looked up to him and smile. "i'll be waiting here baby" i don't know if i heard it right but it makes my heart stop from beating and make me feel his presence in my life again.

i went to the bathroom and made my way to the shower, change my clothes, comb my hair and add a few make up so that i  won't look em like a walking corpse. i saw Cedi watching the entire condo like he was checking if i am safe or do i need anything. i made i cough to get his attention luckily i got it already.

"you're ready?" he asked and giving me a hand. i nodded and take his hands. He drive his car all the way to the center of the city, we went to the mall and went to the appliances area, we picked a two door refrigerator. We didn't went home directly as what i expected he said he wanted to take me out and went to a date so i let him be.

"so uh, does arthur still visits you in your condo?" he started

"no, he never did" i said clearing my throat. he nodded and smiled "how about you and elli? does she knows you're here with me?" he looked at me with shock but covered it directly with his smile.

"what kind of question is that? we are here to be enjoy"

"you started it first Ced" i said holding my fork tight because i might throw it in his face and leave him here. He looked at my hands and hold it.

"i'm sorry, i didn't mean to ruin everything, i got carried away and got jealous because arthur give everything that you wanted and needed while i am on the other hand gives nothing but pain. I'm so sorry kath"

"let's just finish our food" i started cutting my beef and get a spoonful of it. We didn't talked even after the dinner we went home keeping our mouth shut and never looking at each other. It feels awkward knowing that you have each other because someone give his way for your own happiness and it feels more awkward now that you need to keep up the things that you both missed. As we came to halt i directly unbuckled my seat belt and ran to the condo, i heard Cedi's voice calling my name and his footsteps were running closer to me. I came to stop three doors away from my condo when i saw a familiar face.

i looked around and saw Cedi's eyes gone wild, his jaw drop on the floor, i guess he was shocked too. I slowly took a step forward to my door but Cedi stop me and hold my arms. I looked at him since he was taller than me and he give me his sad eyes but a reassuring smile that everything will be alright.
