after one month of being a partner in crime in Paris here I am now back being his secretary. I figured out that it will be better if I won't tell Arthur that I feel something for him. It is better this way, him as my friend and not as my lover but we can't erase the fact that I might get jealous if he has a girl in his arms,I ain't dense.

I inhale and exhale hard and walk in to the company I am working.

"what's wrong?" my body stiffed when I feel his hands on my shoulder. I look at him on the edge of my eyes before I close my eyes and take a deep breath. I can do this. I shouldn't got tense when he is around, he might know that I like him.

so I composed myself and turn around. I studied his face before I realized that it says he's worried. This man is too good to be true. An ideal man of every woman, He has everything in his life except for a family. I smiled at him that makes his face lighten up. It is now gloomy and happy, his dimple show it.

"nothing, I just you know inhaled the scent of the office, I miss this place and everyone here" I replied smiling at him

"good to know, shall we?" he gestures towards the elevator for us to enter. I nodded and went first before him.

we reach the floor to his office. I was still leading our way and him, just smiling and greeted everyone around us. He must be happy right now. He looks handsome when his dimples shows.

"kathrine!" a lady voice call out my name. I look at her and saw maxine running to hug me.
"I missed you kath, I don't have someone here to talk and everyone has their busy life."

I return her hug and pull it out "me too and don't worry too much I'm back and im here again and won't leave you ever" a cough from behind me makes us turn around only to realized Arthur is still on my trail.

"I'm sorry sir" maxine bowed her head and step side to make a way for Arthur and as if on cue he walked pass me and smile before he went in to his office.

"so how was Paris? Did you found some hot guy? did you sleep with them and make some hot babies?" maxine squeal as she asked me those freaky questions. How am I going to find a guy if I am too busy in the trip.

I chuckled at her questions and sat down at my chair. "maxine it was a business trip not a man hunting" I turn my chair and fix my uniform "in fact I didn't saw any guy there that got my attention" I lied Arthur got it.

"oh no, no don't tell me that, there are lots of hot man in Paris kath you just need to use a telescope to found one" she insist

"I don't need a telescope,I have two naked eyes and a good heart that beat for my true love" I said smiling at her and putting my hands where my heart was placed.

"you're unbelievable kathrine alonzo! you're too naive! if I were on your shoe I will choose those people over that fucking true love you said" she shook her head and walked away. This girl is something. She thought it is easy to fall in love and get marry. She look lost when I told her about true love. tsk tsk tsk too bad she doesn't know how to appreciate a man.

after the break i went to the nearest bakery and bought a chocolate cake for cedi. My surprise isn't over yet. I also ordered a dozen of balloons and a party hat. Since i can't cook at his apartment i decide to cater our food and drinks. I am so excited to the come out of my surprise for Cedi. I'm sure he'll love it and decided to forget elli and love me. I remember Cedi told me he got promoted but since I was in Paris we didn't made a party so I guess this one is a good reason to make a party.

"looks like Ms. Alonzo is busy" Arthur makes me jumped from my seat. "did i scare you?"

"a little bit" i replied 

"im so sorry i didn't mean it" he said with an apologetic look

"no, it's alright sir, it's my fault i did it here inside the company which isn't part of my job" i lowered my head and crumpled my skirt. Damn kath, what you just did makes you stupid.

"no, it's alright you should continue what you were doing" i looked up to him and saw his dazzling eyes and his cute dimples. He went back to his office and I went back to my business. twenty minutes had passed a lady with fitted black dress lean to my desk.

"is Arthur around?" she asked. I was stuck at her beauty. She has this aura that everyone will turn their heads to her. "excuse me miss?"

"oh uhm, yeah he's inside" i told her and she directly went in without even asking if she can enter in his office. I realized what she just did so i directly stand up and stop her from pushing the door but i think it's too late since she was now in arthur's lap.

"i.. i'm sorry sir i forgot to knock on your door and asked permission from you if she can enter" Arthur didn't look at me but his hands signal that i can go back now to my work, slowly i backed out from his office and went back to my work.

My heart aches when i saw him with that woman. The woman that i think deserves him. She has a long blonde hair, with a brown eyes and she is a long legged woman. Her dress was black and fitted her body up to her knee. She wears her three inches black heels. They looked perfect for each other. A tear escaped from my eyes when I turn my sight at them kissing each other.
