chapter 26

I ran as fast as I could. I want to go away and never come back. My heart pumps fast,I can't breath and my tears are falling. wherever I go I still found them kissing, laughing and loving each other.

"kathrine" I heard his voice. I heard him calling my name. I heard him. My soul cries out and long for him. I feel someone's hand slap me.

"why did you do that!" Arthur shouted the girl who slapped me, it was the girl that flirted him.

"she won't wake up if you'll just call her name Arthur, she needs to be slap hard" she retorted. I opened my eyes and saw them both sending daggers to each other.

"but you don't need to do that alicia" Arthur defended

"it is Arthur, it wasn't even hard" so it is confirmed her name is alicia. " look she's even awake" Arthur's eyes landed on me and so are my work mates.

"For pete sake kath, don't sleep in the office this isn't a room, you're here to work and not to sleep" Arthur shouted at me. My heart started to ache again my tears also wanted to fall but I held it back and stand up.

"im sorry sir" I lowered my head and walked passed them. They both looked at me walking away from them, I heard arthur's sighed and slammed the door of his office. I feel embarrassed to what I had done, they argue because of me because of this fucking feelings towards Arthur!
I always have dreams about him.I shouldn't feel this way, I rejected him for how many times but why it turn out that I like him?

I went to the comfort room and wash my face, I looked at the mirror and saw the face of the lonely kathrine, the ugly kathrine. No make up, no lipstick, just the plain kathrine. The shy kathrine and the quite one. I never thought I will be in this company, meet new people, found friends and fall in love. I never thought my boss will love me for who I am but I rejected him and now here I am having the secret feeling that I have for him. I need to hide it for as long as I can or hide it forever.

"kath" maxine was behind me, her voice was concerned, her face was worried. I don't know what I offer to you Lord for giving me this sweet officemate and almost I so called best friend.

I looked at her reflection in the mirror before I turn around to face her. She took a step and sigh, she wanted to talk to me but I stopped her.

"please don't tell me anything" I held my hands and turned back to the mirror. I hurt myself too much that I almost forgot that I also need to love myself before others. I wanted to shout and break a leg (not literally) I don't know where to turn to and tell my secrets.

"I don't want to talk to you about what happened, I came here to give this to you" she handed me a white handkerchief, she looks like she got a hint by watching me she answered the question that runs in my mind " he told me to follow you and give that to you"

I don't know what hit me but I cried hard when I realized he was still concerned of my feelings. This is too much after what I give to him, he still wanted to get me. I feel maxine's hand rubbing my back, she is still here.

"I know you like him but you had another person on your heart, right?" she said, I nodded and dried my face using Arthur's handkerchief. "you need time to know who you really wanted to be with kath, just go with the flow right now as long as you are not committed to any of the both sides"

"I've been there and I was like a master piece of shit, I choose the wrong person" she sighed and tap my shoulder " now go and be brave I'm here to advice you the things that you needed to do" she pushes me out of my comfort zone. I didn't resist so I went back to my desk and keep myself busy.

after the work hours I called Matthew, kenneth, jenica, mon-mon and nikki for a little help in my surprise for cedi and I'm glad they help me, kenneth was the one who put us assignments, I was assigned in decorating since I love it, mon-mon was assigned in calling all cedi's friends to come in the party, matthew was assigned in the sound system, jenica was assigned in foods and drinks, nikki was assigned in the program.

I took a stolen shots at everyone while they keep their hands busy, I am done in decorating fifteen minutes ago, it wasn't hard because I already knew what Cedi wants and what he likes so it was easy for me to fulfill my assignment also we are just in our apartment so no hassle.

"mon-mon" kenneth called on to mon-mon who was busy chitchatting on the phone, luckily mon-mon looked up to him " make sure you knew those people you called and make a list of them the food might got shortened" mon-mon nodded and started to check some people's name.

everything was on its placed, decorations, foods, drinks, sound system and there are now some of Cedi's friends that I just meet here. Kenneth did the introducing since I was the shy type person. It was 9 pm and everyone was excited to see Cedi since some of them saw him a year ago or last 2 years, before graduation or whatever.

We are just waiting for Cedi to arrived since his out is nine, matthew was the look out of the area, we make sure that the place had no evidence of party things because we all know Cedi is an agent so he had this investigatory eyes.
