Days had passed after the baby was born, Cedi didn't call or even texted me. I tried to give him a call but he won't pick up so i sent him a picture of me and my baby boy but he didn't respond. Guess he's really busy out there taking good care of another man's baby. Since i don't want my mom to carry all the obligations i have for my son i decided to go back to work at Arthur's company.

Arthur was very happy when i went back to his office having a cup of tea in my hand. I remember he hugged me tight and told me the good news. "kath!! it's nice to see you again. I miss my secretary" "so do i Mr. Arthur" i replied pulling away from the hug "oh please stop being formal, you know that were still friends, right?" i chuckled at his statement then nodded. "good, oh please have a seat" i went to the single chair while he settled on the big one "you know what i've been very busy lately while you are away" his eyes twinkled as he start to tell me his adventure in England and how he met his girlfriend Andrea San Jose. If i heard it right he says she's a half Filipina and she grew up in England. She met her at one of the company's party that was held in England.

Many things had happened in my friends life while I'm away and I'm glad they told me everything about it. Jenica my bestfriend went to New york to meet his chatmate Max. Nicky and Kenneth is a happy couple and they are now having a baby. Mon-mon is always the happy go lucky but still manage to survive the life alone while matthew busy on his out of town. I don't know the reason he said he'll just give me an update soon.

Night comes and I' on my way home. I decided to take out some food for my family to have some midnight snacks. I entered our house and was surprised when i saw Cedi carrying my son with his joyous eyes glued to my son. I don't know how to react guess he didn't see me as i arrive I saw my mom came out from the kitchen holding a tray and was surprised when she saw me. I looked at her but she shrugged and made her way to the table. I slowly went to Cedi's direction and that was the time he acknowledge my presence. He glance at my direction and smiled. I don't know what to feel and how to start the conversation. I give the food that i brought to my mother and put down my bag on the sofa.

He put down the baby back to his crib and went to my side. "Can i talk to you?" "you sure did" i replied "i mean alone" he said "no, i think it is okay that my mom can hear us talking about what you want to tell" i think he got embarrassed because he lowered his head. "can you forgive me?" he asked "for what?" "for leaving you and didn't come back as i promised" suddenly he bent down and beg on his knees "please hear me out" i looked at my mom and she nodded, she then stand up and went to her room "speak up" i said " I tried to come here on your due date but it became impossible when Elli blackmail me that she will commit suicide if i leave her alone." that fucking bitch "go on" i said again "so i stayed there for a while, i saw your messages, your missed calls and even the picture of you and our little baby boy but that was when i made an argument to her that i really need to go home but she was stubborn. When her due date came, it was yesterday. I went to her parents and beg them to let me leave because i still have a family here, and it is you and the baby" my heart sunk to hear his words a family? Me and Aleeve? i sighed he continue to tell his story "they let me go in one condition" he paused "what is it?" i asked "i will never contact to Elli or tell her my whereabouts or even asked about her" he paused and look at our baby "and i said yes as long as she will never ever hurt you or blackmail you and the baby. As long as she will stay away from my family" I don't know what happened but after he told me his story the only thing i did is to hug him. He hug me back and leave a kiss on my forehead " I'm sorry that i didn't made it" he said with his tears running down "it's okay now ced, we are here and nothing can stop us to build this family.

5 YEARS LATER

i got married to Cedi, baby Aleeve is now a big boy, he went to school while I and Cedi will go to work. We just dropped him at school and let him explore his world. I'm glad that he was excited to meet his new friends. Im glad i didn't give up on us.
