"good morning babe" a big smile appears in his face

"good morning too" I replied shyly

"I don't want that, don't be shy come here" he tap his lap so i went towards him and he give me a tight hug from the back

"thank you, I have a great time and since I can't repay you I decided to be your one and only anything, is it okay to call you babe even if we're not in a relationship?"

"don't bother to repay me I'm okay with it and in fact I was the one who proposed it right?"

he turn me around and I meet his eyes, he look at me like I am a food that is now ready to be serve, he look down to me from toe to head and kiss my forehead in the end.

"did you just decided where to kiss me?" I look at him with amusement

"no, I just realized how lucky is the man you will be marrying soon"

with that I didn't reply and send back the tears from my eyes that is now about to escape. He doesn't really see my worth, for him I am just a friend who's helping him to move on. I ate my food and went to shower to ease the pain I feel inside. I want to die now, I want to be eaten by snakes, I want to kill eli because of her cedi can't appreciate my presence and because of her he's hurting, bleeding and dying inside which kills me too.

"ms. alonzo" mr.arthur called out my name from his office

"yes sir? what do you need?"

"where are the papers that I had given to you at mr. moore's meet up?" he said signing a lot of papers

"I put it here sir, it's folder is color red and a sticky notes is at the top of it" I said watching him, he look up at me his brows meet at the center

"really ms. alonzo? I never remembered that you give me the papers of mr. moore" this time his tone is not in good terms

"i'll look for it sir" I was about to get out when he call my name again

"who's friend are you with last night?"

"sir i don't want to disrespect you but it is none of your business to tackle about the event that happened last night and surely you aren't my relatives to ask questions about my personal life" I replied giving him a limitation to his words

"surely I am capable of asking you some personal questions ms. alonzo" he retorted

"why will you mr.arthur?" I said in gritted teeth

"it's none of your business"

"so do you?"

"just answer the question ms. alonzo" his voice raise

"why should I?" I shouted back, his hands turn it fist that is about to punch a big wall

"because im jealous! Im fucking jealous because i can't have you all the time! there you have it so may I know who's friend is this?" still his voice is raise

"why?" I was shocked at his sudden confession

"because I like you" he lowered his head and sat back down to his chair "last night I want to formally ask you out for a date but when I went to your desk I couldn't find you anymore and none of your officemates knows your whereabouts" his voice is now calm like a baby boy trying to explain the mess he made

since I didn't response in his confession he stand up and cupped my face.

"kath, I like you ever since but because of your lifestyle im afraid you might dump me and think that you are not fit in my standard and might left me alone so I tried to divert my attention but every time I do it, I fall even harder to you" his eyes says the same thing when I look at them.
