"Why do I look like him?"

All of a sudden, our conversation stopped when I heard a knock on the door.

I walked to peek at the window and saw that it was Carl.

Oh thank god it's Carl, and thank god I won't have to answer Mikhail with his questions.

Oh wait, this is bad. Oh god, Ally! It's Carl and he shouldn't know that Mikhail is staying at my house.

I faced Mikhail and looked at him seriously while signaling him to come nearer.

"What?"

"Shhhh." He grew confused and came closer...

"Carl is at the other side of this door. What do we do now, he doesn't need to know you're here." I whispered...

"Uhm.. Do you have any place here where I could hide?" He whispered back.

"Uhm. I don't know but maybe you could escapee from the backdoor." I said as I pointed at the kitchen where the back door is located.

He tiptoed but he suddenly crashed and made a loud sound followed by the sound of pain.

"Ally? Is everything okay in there? I'll open the door already."

"Carl wait---"

"Mikhail!??!"

"Ah..Carl.."

"What are you doing here?!!" Carl sounded angry and unpleased at the appearance of Mikhail in my house.

"Oh Carl let's just calm down a bit and let me explain." I tried to calm him down but he was acting different. I don't know if it's appropriate to say but he's acting like a jelous boyfriend with the way he acts these days based on what I've read on books and what I've seen and obseeved.

"Calm down? You want me to calm down? This man in front of you is supposed to be back in New York and be at his engagement party and yet I can't believe he is still here and what's worse is that he's here in front of me inside of my bestfriend's house!"
I was taken aback by the words Carl just uttered.

So he has a fiance, it would all be hopeless to tell him all about it for he already made his choice. He is going to marry someone he chose-someone he loves on his present life now- and that's not me.

"I..I need to think." Mikhail exited the house immediately and Carl ran after him..

"So can you explain to me why he is in your house!?!" Oh god, he's angry.

"Carl, please calm down, I can't talk to you while you're angry " he started walking back and forth and repeatedly combing his hair with his hands.

I'm not used to seeing Carl like this, he looked so angry, I'm used to seeing the calm, carefree and happy Carl.

"Fuck!" He cursed while clasping and unclasping his hands.

Oh god, what have I done? I've just angered a member of the lupin clan.

He was about to storm out of the house when my body voluntarily moved closer to him and I wrapped my hands tightly around him.

I was afraid of his reaction for he didn't move and stayed frozen on the spot.

I closed my eyes and snuggled closer to his chest, being intoxicated with his scent.

I wasn't prepared for his reaction but I was glad he hugged me back.

I myself am surprised of my actions, for I hugged him again for the second time.

He pulled me even closer and buried his face in my neck. But what I never expected is when I felt a tear.

"Carl ..are you crying?"

"Uhm no, I'm just. .."

"It's okay Carl".

"I'm sorry if I snapped at you, I'm sorry if I got angry easily."

"It's fine, I know you're just shocked."

I hesitantly moved away to break the hug but he pulled me and held my waist.

"Can we stay like this for a little longer?"

Baaaanngggg!!!

I didn't know what happened but I was snatched from Carl's embrace by a pair of strong hands, holding me into a death grip and I instantly knew who that person was.
