"What a surprise to see you again here!" He demeanor changed as she flashed her ultimately forced smile on me.

"Yeah! What a surprise to see you here too!" I replied with such spite and I wanted to snatch Solomon away from her poisonous grasp. She was poison, a traitor and the worst person I could ever come across too in my entire existence.

Funny how some things don't seem to change, maybe some souls just can't let go of how they used to be that they even carry those traits until their next life.

"I was thinking of us going in a press conference today at the company for our wedding of course. Everyone was so thrilled while you were away, you must have watched the news." She made that annoying face again which could have fooled anyone but not me. Her eyes suddenly flickered to my hands, specifically my ring.

"What a nice ring you have!" She took my hands and studied it. "This must have cost so much, but what could I expect when you're the owner of the richest company here."

Solomon's eyes was also glued to the particular gem in my hands.

"Oh I almost forgot! Mikhail, why don't we look for rings now? We need to wear the rings to show it in the press conference later." She enthusiastically suggested, her eyes gleamed at him like he was some candy she desperately wanted to have.

"If I remember, I gave you a ring before, and I wouldn't give you anything more other than that. That ring is specifically only for the woman I love." Karen scowled.

"But I really lost it at the resort." She was lying, she clearly sold the ring to Caspen under an unknown identity. I haven't told this to Mikhail yet, that they wouldn't be if it from the marriage, but they would be used instead. Karen's company is almost at their downfall and without the shares of Solomon, they would be as good as they never existed in the business world at all.

They were faking all those reports, and they don't intend to tell Solomon or anyone before the marriage is sealed. This would only benefit them.

They are still users like before. They used me too, to get close to Solomon, only for them to ask me to let him go as a sister.

They were selfish.

"I don't care if you lost it or not, whoever finds it will be the one I'll marry." Horror crossed her face. "You're kidding right?" Then he glared at her, "I hired an investigator and I'm true to my words, you know that. There will be no wedding if you don't have that ring." I didn't hear anything else of their conversation because I left.

I needed to tell Solomon about their plans. I needed him to choose with the choices I lay in front of him this time I'm giving him a choice.

"Caspen, take all the information from Karen's company, all the proof that they're almost bankruped."

"Sure Vanna."

I wasn't going to give Solomon for the sharks to devour.

I saw them leaving as I walked back to the office. At the sight of me, Solomon whispered something to karen. She went to the elevator as Solomon walked back with me to the office.

I didnt expect the kiss he gave me. He kissed me like he's been starved for days. "I'm happy you got it." He smiled, "I'm happy I did."

"I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"Your marriage is a trap." He looked at me confused. "You know I'll never marry her at all."

"You've got to listen to me, her company is at bankruptcy and she's using the marriage to save theirs." I didn't know it was a bad idea to do this.

"What? I mean how."

"Her father lost a large amount at the casinos and is still loosing now."

"If I tell that to father, he would pursue the marriage even more. They've been friends and wouldn't want anything more than to help his friend."

"You knew it all along!"

"I did and I felt sad at the thought they're just fooling us, but I didn't have a choice."

"But now I have, and I chose you."

"She's waiting for you. Are you going to tell her?"

"Yes, at the press conference, I want you to be there."

"I will." And we kissed one last time before he left.

This day has been one of the days I wanted to remember, the day he chose me.

My phone ringed, "we have a problem."

"What happened?"

"Someone was stealing from the company."

"What? Who?"

"Ashton."

"What else."

"He's working with Dr. Laczowski and it looks like they'te coming for you."

With that, the door opened and I succumbed into darkness.

Two more chapters, guys this is a draft and I'll just edit everything once I finish the story! I'm sorry I didn't update sooner. But it's nearly coming to an end and I didn't know how to end everything, like I can't let go of them, but then one day I just woke up and the idea popped in my head like magic, now I know how what to do.
