"We got the ring my lady." That statement from Caspen alone made me happy.

After we left Mikhail there, Caspen didn't bother to ask me about what I told Mikhail earlier, I know he felt like I don't want to talk about it and I thanked him about what happened earlier. I had told him to be my back up if something like that happens, because I couldn't risk the chance to see or accidentally meet someone I've known before.

He didn't ask or argue about pretending and I told him it was all for security purposes. He immediately grasped the idea because the family had been receiving a lot of threats ever since for being one of the most powerful companies in the whole world.

"That's great to hear Caspen." I said as we walked back to the hotel. This is actually out hotel, and there is another reason of this vacation, not just to take what's rightfully mine but also to talk to one person who is interested to be a business partner.

The young and billionaire bachelor, Ashton Cignolli.

"The ring is at your room Lady Vanna, but you still have a meeting with Mr. Cignolli in ten minutes."

"I'll be right back I said as I proceeded to my room to change into a formal suit and the ring gleamed in the middle of the room.

It looks just like how it looked the first time he inserted the ring into my ring finger, and that was one of the happiest moment of my life.

"With the power invested in me, the whole universe will witness this bond between the two of you and this bond shall forever reign through good and evil." Abe said as he smiled at the both of us.

"May the stars be witnesses of your love. A love that will never be broken, I'll love you, I'll always will and always have. May our bond stand string againsts the odds of this universe, my princess." He said as he inserted the cold ring in my ring finger and it fitted perfectly.

And that was the day of our wedding day, a day that I would forever cherish, the day we sneaked and had a secret marriage. The truth is nobody knew we're married and everyone thought that we still aren't bonded.

This bond had brought the complications in my life today, but I'll never regret it, the stars had been witnesses and it could never be altered even in another life.

I wore the ring and it immediately fitted in my fingers perfectly, the engraved stones around the large gem at the center shifted and the centerpiece opened, revealing the most rare and precious gem in the whole universe. A gem that had caused thousands of deaths, lots of people had aimed to get it in their hands but it only belonged to one person, and that one person alone can unleash it from the protection of the strongest gem.

That was how special this gem was, it would stay hidden in a normal looking stone, so strong that it wouldn't be broken and when the ring is place in the hands of its rightful owner, the real centerpiece would appear, like a faithful servant waiting for its master.

"Lady Vanna, it's time." Caspen called out at the other side of the door.

"I'm coming." I immediately changed and opened the door.

I was escorted by Caspen at the meeting room where Mr. Cignolli is already waiting.

A gorgeous looking man with jet black hair and fair skin was sitting on the sofa at the other side of the table, Caspen announced my arrival, then he looked at me with the same eyes everyone had the first time they saw me.

He moved in front of me, took my hand and kissed it as a gesture of respect, and I'm used to it.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Lady Van Harlin." Then he stared at me for a long time before Caspen cleared his throat.

"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Cignolli." Then I gave him my smile.

"You can call me Ashton my lady." He said as we proceeded to our seat.

We discussed about the business partnership and he was a good businessman. He managed to make me agree, but what do you expect from the heir of the Cignolli Empire.

"Thank you Lady Vanna, I know well meet again."

"I can't wait for that day Ashton." I said as we finished the meeting.

"Soon, lady Vanna." He said as he waved his hands while we took the other side of the hall.

Ashton will be leaving immediately for an emergency meeting back in New York so we talked that we'll meet there and have some coffee sometimes.

He was a nice and charming gentleman who is dedicated to business and to his family, not his own but to his father, mother and other siblings. He's been the heir of the empire and a lot has been expected from him and he never let them down.

"You can take the day off Caspen." I said as I walked to my room. "I'll take the whole day to rest too, me being outside for a long time is risky, they shouldn't know in here." He just nodded and smiled. I know he also wants to enjoy this place.

My phone beeped and an unknown number appeared.

Hi, I can't wait to see you again. Save my number my lady.

I already knew who this is and I hope I won't regret giving my number to him, I don't want any attachments anymore and I font know if I'm making another mistake.

I can feel him for the whole week, and I know he's just somewhere near me. I stayed at my room, spending the whole time enjoying being normal until it lasts.

I've been sleeping and eating like a normal person and I was kinda excited to finally taste food, the food in this place was really delicious.

I had deprived myself for Avery long time. I sometimes think of the thousands of possibilities that could have been if ever I've told him about who he really is, about us.

If I had told him, would he love me like before? But u know that's impossible, he already have Karen, his fiancée and I've seen him happy on the day of their engagement party.

I wonder what could have happened if the reset hadn't happened too soon, that we barely even had the future we've been dreaming of, those stupid dreams I've hold on to until now and it's what keeps me here, alive. I am still here waiting and staring at the endless ocean, wondering if he'll ever find his way back. Wondering if hr knew that somewhere in this infinite universe, someone is waiting for him, someone who had loved him even before the day he was born, someone whom he had promised his love forever, a future together, and family. I wonder if he'll still remember me, but that would be foolish, everything had come crashing the day I saw him with someone else, he has someone else by his side now and I'm just a speck of dust who had vanished in thin air for him.

Maybe it's time to let go. He was literally so near, but yet he's far far away from my reach.
