Many people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75.

Mikhail left that day and the end of the school year slowly approaches. It wasn't a hard time for me because I've mastered all of these subjects in my existence in this planet.

It has been the same through the years, the education system. Sometimes I think that it isn't that much beneficial if you intend to live a normal life, but in the society today, the degree of education determines who you are and where you should be placed in the society.

It's sad to see that as the time goes by, the real essence of eduaction is taken for granted. Education has been a competition for others while others take it for compliance.

It has been those numbers that determined if you are more intelligent than the others, your scores, quizzes, tests are the basis of whether you pass or not.

And your grades are the basis of your future. I second Einstein on his belief that our education system is like asking a fish to climb a tree and giving them scores based on the same challenge together with monkeys and elephants.

"What are you thinking?"

Carl.

There is only one person who interrupts me when I'm lost in my thoughts.

"Hey! Don't stress yourself too much." He said and I just stared at him looking annoyed.

"Ally, I know you're nervous."

"You always say that to me."

"Because you look tensed."

"I don't."

"You do."

"I told you, I don't and if you think that I'm nervous about the upcoming exam again then don't."

"Haha! You got me on that one. I was gonna say that. You know I find it kinda weird that you actually don't read any book while you study?"

"What? How can you say so?"

"Come on, everybody knows that, you are the genius in our class. I've never seen you read a book or anything, I just caught you many times staring at a wall or somewhere distant."

"I do read books at home."

"Yeah, you sure do. Like when our teacher asked about some weird title and you told the story to the whole class? That was so amazing, and what's more interesting is the fact that the story was written in ancient latin and there were only two books released that were translated and it's only in German and French."

I was dumbstruck of what he just said and suddenly I was afraid that sooner or later, he will find out about my secrets.

"I told you, my mom used to tell it to me when I was young, maybe she even heard it elsewhere." I reasoned.

"Aren't you gonna ask me about Mikhail?" He raised his eyebrows and looked at me.

"Why would I?" I asked confused.

"Never mind."

"What? You want to say something don't you?" He looked like he wanted to say something but is having second thoughts about it.

"Okay, he has sent an invitation."

"Of what?"

"To celebrate the 80th year of the company and to announce the new CEO because my uncle is retiring."

"Oh, and you uncle was his father right?"

"Yeah, sounds like it."

"What?"

"Anyway, he invited us to go there. I was supposed to go there alone but then he asked if you could go there too because he told me he has something important to tell you."

I suddenly had a bad feeling about this, I felt like I really need to be there and I can't deny it that I've missed him. I want to see him again to see that this isn't all just a dream, that I wasn't just hallucinating when I saw him.

"Oh, and when would that be?"

"Tomorrow."

"What? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

"I forgot"

"What kind of occasion would that be? I don't have anything to wear."

"Don't worry, all you have to do is be there, he took care of everything."

"That's weird."

"That's what he call connections."

"Okay, so when do we leave?"

"Uhmm..after 3 hours".

"Wha.."

"Right we must leave exactly two hours from now, it's 5pm and well leave at 7 so we could arrive there earlier and we'll have enough rest for tomorrow."

"If I were you I'm gonna go home right now and pack the things I need, I'll fetch you after an hour."
He said and I rushed home and packed my things.

At exactly an hour, he fetched me and we arrived early at the place.

"A private island?" I asked Carl as my eyes wandered onto the magnificent view of the hotel, and the peaceful ocean. Everything looked so luxurious.

"Well, yeah they own a private island and we'll stay here for the night, I can't believe he booked two rooms for us. What does he think of me?" He playfully said as he took the keys of the suite.

The suite was large and so homey.

I was going to sleep when I remembered that I forgot my jacket in the yatch we rode all the way to this island. I thought of getting it tomorrow but I then decided to get it now and to walk around the hotel for I haven't had the chance to do so when we arrived.

I was walking at the hallway when i bumped into someone causing her to drop her bag.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"You didn't?" She said with a mean tone.

"Oh yeah, you're just too foolish not to look at where you were walking."

Then she left leaving me with a new emotion I've never felt for years.

I've never seen her before but she reminds me of a person in the past, the way she looks, and her if I'm correct.

I felt hatred.
