Shadow Heart (V x reader)

Red Grave city was completely demolished, You were fighting your way through hordes of demons on your way to Qliphoth, the massive demon tree from Hell that invaded Red Grave City, You had no idea where Dante and Nero was, but by the flash of gunshots and demons crying in pain, you knew they were already in the tree.

You ran faster, they going take all the fun for themselves, you made your way to the base of the tree, jumping and dodging over demons, there was simply no time to play around as Dante and Nero may have already reached the top. Coming to a stop in front of a large vain like root, you saw the red liquid being bumped up"No elevator?" you joked as you squeezed through and shot right up as the vain popped you out at the top.

*Yuk* You spat, human blood, you took a look around and saw a lot of these root like veins carrying gallons of  blood to the top, how many lives were taken for this. *Bang Bang*You suddenly heard guns shots and not far you ran to the edge of the ledge you were standing on, you looked down and saw V fighting of a large demon with his own demons, Griffon and Shadow, But V did not see one of the flying bugs with a big green butt that kept on healing the demons as well as new ones kept spawning. You jumped down and sliced the demon behind V in two, took out your your gun and shot the flying green butt insect. You two made quick work of the rest and the mini battle was soon over. You looked over to V " You okay?" you asked concerned, V was struggling to his feet "Yea I owe you one" he said out of breath. 

You didn't know V for long in fact you just met him the other day, he is a very mysterious man, always speaking phrases from a poem in a book he always carried with him, you weren't sure about him but you couldn't help be attracted to him. You walked over to V were he was sitting on a root, "V , you sure your okay maybe you should rest for moment" you said looking at him as he tries to push himself on "No, I must see this through to the end" V stood up and patted you on the head, giving you a smile making you blush.

You finally reached the top and saw a big ugly looking demon, Urizen, sitting on a throne controlling a red crystal that seems to deflect any damage, you saw Dante on the ground as well as Trish, lady and Nero defeated. Nero staggered to his feet , you walked up to him and patted his shoulder "well now seems like you guys have met your match, take a brake its my turn" You said full of confidence. V tried to stop you but You charged straight for the Urizen, avoiding his attacks with skilful acrobatics as you jumped in the air kicking the crystal with such force , it got knocked back for a few second, you took this opportunity to bring your sword down on the demon's head but your sword didn't penetrate or even hurt him, he laughed and with a wave of his hand, you were send flying to the opposite side, smashing against the wall, he is stronger than he looks. You saw Dante trying a last effort to end this horrible fight by turning into his devil form but not even that was enough.

"Get out of here, this a bad move" Dante shouted,  but you couldn't just leave them with this thing another crash was heard as the entrance was starting to collapse, V dragged Nero to safety before the entrance was sealed "Dante NO!" you yelled as he knocked you over the edge with such force you were almost knocked out " Just go ,I got this" He yelled.

As you fell , a winged creature caught your arm, it was one of V's demons, Griffon. "Thanks Griffon" you said breathing a sigh of relief, for a moment you thought you gone be a splat on the ground, " You should thank V, he send me to find you". Griffon flew out the tree, finally fresh air, you took another breath, the smell of demons and blood was nauseating. The demon bird let you go on a rooftop, You felt dizzy as your vision started to get cloudy " I don't feel good" you started saying and fell backwards but before you felt the cold surface, you felt a pair of warm arms embracing you, and held you close. "V" you whispered as he looked at you with half a smile "looks like Dante gave you quite a hard knock, he chuckled, you tried to smile back but darkness took you over.

V looked at you and trailed his thumb over your cheek, moving the strand hair out of your face,she looks so peaceful "haha looks like V has got something for this girl, its rare to see you care for something other than yourself" Griffon laughed as V picked you up bride style ignoring the silly chicken. It was troubling to have these emotions but they were there and he just had to deal with it, but a small glimmer deep in his chest hoped for a maybe as he held you bit tighter against him, a need to protect you was growing in him
