Without thinking you jumped in after V and landed on the ground level, you look up and saw daylight pouring through the hole in the roof at least we got a one way exist. You looked around and saw Qliphoth roots everywhere and in the centre of it all, you saw V tangled up, struggling to get free. Shadow and Griffon attacked the roots with every ability they had but it had no effect on the qliphoth roots at all. The only way to get him free is to find a Nidhogg hatch-ling that could eat away at its core making the roots dissolve. You jumped from root to root till you came to a stop in front of V "Tied up a little?"

V just chuckled with a smirk "It would seem so". You smiled, a tied up V isn't bad looking at all... wait .. shut up , you scolded yourself for thinking such thoughts at a time like this. You shook your head and turned swiftly before he could see your blushing face "Sit tight I will get you free, don't go anywhere" you said following the main root into a passage way. V laughed, where the hell is he gone go, at that moment Griffon landed next to V and looked at him, he watched you walk away until you were out of sight breathing a sigh of relief. "You know V, liking this girl is going to make thing a lot more difficult" Griffon said flapping his wings as he got comfortable, this may take awhile. "Even so, she is something different, its something you wouldn't understand" V said grinning.

" O sure because am just a demon bird, I know nothing about love but if she finds out the truth of the connection you have with Urizen, would that smile still be there?" Griffon mocked V, if he wasn't entangled he would have kicked the bird into another dimension but he couldn't argue with it, if you knew the truth would you still smile at him with those bright eyes that held love for him. This side of him may disappear forever, not to mention all the wrong he had done. A sickening feeling covered his heart as hope to be with you started to slip away, he was a fool to think that in the first place. V clenched his jaw in frustration, he vowed before this is over, you will know regardless of what could happen after that. " The angel that resided on my birth said little creature fond of joy and mirth, go without out the love of anything on earth" V quoted from his book, suddenly the roots dissolved and V was free.

"The bat that flits at close eve, has left the brain that wont believe, the owl that calls upon the night, speaks the unbelievers fright" You also quoted from the book, holding it open as you emerged from the passage. "Auguries of Innocence by William Blake, I knew it sounded familiar" you said handing V his book back. "You know of him?" V asked curious "I used to read his books as a child" you said remembering your childhood. "So did I" V said "we should get going".

You followed V out the the sewers, something was off, you could feel it as you stared at V from behind , he looked sad if not depressed. This made your heart ache, you didn't want him to feel like this. V stopped in front of a phone box and dialled Nico. After a awhile that felt like an eternity of silence, Nico's van came flying off a rooftop and landed with a loud crash stopping in in front of you. "I know, I know am late shut it" Nico said hanging out the drivers window, you laughed "I found this, hope its useful" you said throwing her a glowing blue orb you had found when you were looking for the Nidhogg hatch-ling. Nico sniffed it " O my, am gone make something mighty fine out of this, just you wait"

Later...

You doze of a bit in the passenger seat, running around fighting these demons took a lot of energy, it was exhausting. V was sitting in the back reading his book with shadow at his feet, but suddenly Griffin came through the open door with a burst, flapping his wings frantic,"V I found it!" he said out of breath " well now I guess I should get going" V stood up, you looked at him with concern in your eyes, he was getting weaker for some reason and you don't know why. "V let me go with you" You said but V shook his head "that would not me necessary this is something I have to do" he looked at you with a grin, how he wish things were different, he wanted to hold you like he did back then, to feel that comfort and warmth of your embrace. You saw the longing in his eyes before he vanished with Griffin and Shadow, frustrated you sat down with a sigh. Right you made up your mind, your going to follow him and see what he is up to, "I know what you thinking (Y/N), if your gone follow mister mysterious I suggest you take this" Nico handed you your gun but it has been greatly modified, you looked it over in surprise wait when did she... Nico just smiled her cheerful smile. Your gun was pulsing with demonic energy "I had to do some re modelling but its much more powerful now, see it as a gift from a friend to a friend" Nico said satisfy with her work "thanx Nico, I don't know what to say" feeling bit embarrassed, no one ever did something like this for you. Nico tapped you playfully on the head "Go test it out and if V is full of it, test it on him" she said winking, you laughed and nodded, thanking her again you jumped out the van and ran in the same direction as V.
