Nico's van sped through the ruins of Grave City, Nico looked back at you and laughed you fell asleep, how you can you even sleep at a time like this is beyond her. Nico Flipped a packet of cigarettes open just as she ramped over one of the roots of the demon tree dammit, the roots started to move, sensing the presence of humans approaching. Raising their spike like tips, ready to pierce flesh and drain their victim of blood. Nico's eyes winded as she saw some survivors running from the roots but demons started spawning, cutting of their exist.

"(Y/N) !" Nico yelled as she came to a stop, the path was blocked by the demon tree roots, you woke up with a start and rush to the passenger seat "Survivors, you better go" Nico said but you were already out the door, jumping over the roots, you ran to the few remaining survivors. A Demon bug blocked your way " I don't have time for this" as you made quick work of it. You heard a scream as a little girl stood near her mother's body, looking up at the giant bug demon as it cornered her, raising a claw. You ran and jumped on to a demons head then onto other using them as steps to get to the little girl, before the demon could bring down a mantis like claw, you blocked it in time with your sword. The demon roared and green like spit splashed on you face yuk, this just pissed you off, you deflected his claws as you jumped up and sliced the creature head off, you turned swiftly, picking up the girl and dashed to where Nico was parked. Giving the girl to Nico, you looked for any more survivors.

A man trying to get away from the tree roots as they slithered closer ready to impale the man as it raised its spike tip ready to strike, you were not going to reach him in time, shit, you shot round after round, they just keep coming. You must be near a plant node that keep spawning these things. The man tripped and fell cowaring in fear as you jumped in front of him blocking another root, but you didn't see the demon bugs starting to surround the two of you as one demon knocked you back, but you quickly got up and rushed to the man side again, this isn't good as wave of demon bugs started to close the space between you, you fought with everything you had to save this man life, but it was just to overwhelming you heard a scream as the man was thrown by a demon and impaled by a root, his flesh turned to a granite look,as the blood was drained from his body. The spike root retracted and the body fell turning into ash when it touched the floor

You heard gunshots as you saw Nico's trying to protect her van and the little girl. "Nico, get the hell out of here they keep spawning , you have to get her to safety !" You yelled as you cut through a demon bug turned swiftly and shot a green butt bug from the air, coming down on another demon with your sword. "I cant just leave you" The roots were starting to block her exist. "just go there is no time" you yelled back. Nico knew she had to trust you as she got the little girl in the van and sped off ramping over the roots "you better not die on me (Y/N)" Nico said slamming the steering wheel with frustration.

You had to find that plant node and destroy it so that the demons could stop spawning, you dodged and jumped, using every acrobatic move you knew to get through the demons with minimal damage. You found the node behind a ruined building, you shot the hell out of it the closer you came but it still didn't pop, finally bringing your sword down on it , it split in two and dissolved, the demon bugs started to withdraw around you.

You looked around and laughed mocking them " Was that the best you can throw at me", you said smugly thinking you won this battle, but a loud thumping could be heard approaching like giant feet crashing the ground making the earth shake with each step as a boss like demon appeared, locking demonic red eyes with you and gave such a roar you had to cover your ears. "I had to open my mouth, right its you and me fatty, lets play" you said smugly but deep down you were bit concerned , this was not gone be easy.

You charged head on as the demon brought two fist down, you dodged and sliced at the legs trying to get in a critical shot so that the demon could loose foot but it turned 180 degrees and knocked you against a fallen building making it crumple, you stood up bit shaky as rubble fell from your body, "oki, lets try that again" you said out of breath, you got into a stance waiting, the demon roared and flew a fist at you, dodging to the right, you saw piece of metal pole that had a sharp point, you grabbed and implanted it into the demon's claw with all your strength, you were surprised that it went straight through right to the ground, you jumped on his hand and ran up its arm shooting its face but his other claw grabbed you, but you threw your sword, impaling it into its skull between the eyes, demon ranged and still held you, ramming your body into the ground. shit, pain shot through your limbs as if every bone in your body was being broken.

The demon waved his claw like hand trying to get the sword out, seeing an opening you shot your gun aiming for the hilt of your sword making it slice in deeper till it penetrated its brain, the demon yowled but soon stood still as life left its body and fell to the ground. You dragged your broken body from under the huge demon claw, you stood but staggered and fell against an over turn car. Breathing heavily, you were exhausted thinking that maybe this was a bit to much for you as blood started to pool around you, he got you good, you laughed a bit and a weak smile formed on your lips. But your eyes started to get heavy and you gave in to sleep thinking that maybe this time your not gonne wake up but you were just to tired to care, dam you wish you could see V again you thought as you slipped into unconsciousness.

Unknown to you, the battle you fought was being watched by a raven haired man. V jumped of the roof he was standing on and made his way to you, looking at you and then at the demon in front of you. He was impressed he didn't think you would be able to handle it but you showed skill and a unwillingness to give up. V crouch in front of you , touching your face lightly but then Griffon made an appearance from his shadowy tattoos "V you could have helped her" he said confused by V's actions "No, I wanted to see if my suspicion where true" A glow emminated from your body as your wounds were starting to nit back togthere.

"She is not human"
