Blue Demon (Nero X Reader) Part 22

That night when the Qliphoth appeared ... you lost everything. 

Your home... everything..

You didn't have much, you lived alone in a apartment in Red Grave City. But before this you where part of an holy organisation called Order of the Shield, just as the name say it was your job to protect the innocent and punish the guilty. But that all turned bad when you found out the real reason for the order was to use their followers as sacrifices to summon a demon. They took you prisoner and did horrible experiments on you. It was like they were trying to force something to happen...

"Amazing...her blood is turning gold"

"What does this mean?"

"Watch out !"

Golden light burst from your body, as your eyes turned white, silver wings broke through your skin, shredding your shirt. Through the veil of darkness you could still hear them talking in astonishment, you had to get out, but luck was on your side as the organisation was attacked by an unknown man. Giving you the change to escape bursting through the windows, flying as far as you could before you collapsed near Red Grave City without even glance back. Making a living for yourself in the City, you where doing fine but nightmares still haunt your dreams, making sleeping at night almost impossible sometimes.

Now here you are again, homeless in a destroyed city, most of the citizens evacuated when the demon invasion began but you stayed because this was all you had left and you were willing to fight for it.

Siting on top a roof you watched as a tan coloured Vehicle sped across a bridge, but stopped dead as the bridge almost collapsed. Taking out a small pair of binoculars, you saw a young woman jumping out the driver's door. A second figure got out the passenger's side, walking around and joining the woman in front of the hood. You froze for a second "He looks.. familiar" you whispered. They were arguing about something, you couldn't hear clearly but the young man suddenly grabbed something what looks to be a sword, making his way across the fallen bridge, the young woman stayed behind opening the hood.

"mmm some engine trouble..that's not good" you whispered to yourself as you saw demon bugs heading straight for her. You stood up and thought for a moment 'Na she will be fine.. they must know whats lurking around here..'  You turned swiftly taking a step forward but froze..Dammit, this was none of my business' You turned towards the young woman and bolted towards the edge of the roof and jumped landing on another roof just below.

Before the demon bugs could reach the young woman, you landed with a thud blocking the demons way. You unsheathed your sword you still had from your days as part of the order. You dashed towards the demon bugs, skilfully taking them out one by one. The young woman suddenly poked her head around the hood when she heard the howls of demons screaming in pain. You made quick work of them and the mini  battle was soon over.

"Wow, that was cool" You heard the young woman say from behind you. "engine problems?" you asked pointing at the open hood. "Yea, something is stuck and MR hasty ran off before yanking it out" she said rolling her eyes at the argument they had earlier. "By the way, am Nico" 

You walked over to the hood and took a look inside you saw something glow that was lodged in between two cylinders, reaching for it you yanked out what looks like a horn with red emanating from its core. Nico suddenly yanked it out your hand "I know what this is and its dam fiiine" She squealed suddenly disappearing inside the van.

Staring in confusion you didn't notice a figure approaching. You froze thinking a demon was trying a sneak attack from behind, with fast reflexes you grabbed your sword, spun around bringing your blade down onto the figure only to have it blocked. Sparks flew when metal met metal , your eyes widen, its the guy that was with Nico earlier. But something about him was so familiar, something about those eyes with a never ending fire burning deep with in them.

"Nero?.."You whispered as the name came back from a long time ago. His eyes widen in surprise, lowering his sword. "Its been awhile" you said smiled putting away your blade. But you where cut off when you suddenly felt arms around you as Nero embraced you in a tight grip. You froze from the sudden contact, bit confused. You knew Nero through the Order of the sword, when Shield Fails, the sword is send in to clean up. Growing up in the same order, you and Nero knew each other for a long time. He was always someone you could count on and was your first best friend.

"Lyka.. your alive" he whispered, you pushed him away gently "Of course I am silly" You said confused, but Nero expression changed to a frown "The Order told me you died on a mission" You looked down "No.., I was held prisoner by the order, when it fell, I escaped"

"What.." Nero couldn't believe what he was hearing, the order did more harm than he thought. When he heared you died, it felt like a piece of his heart died to. "Hey am okay now" You said trying to smile your most cheery smile. Punching his arm lightly his expression soon changed into a playful smirk as he chuckled "Am really glad" he whispered.

*Cough*

Turning around you saw Nico starring at the two of you with an eye brow raised "Am i interrupting"

"Nico, this is Lyka she's my best friend , we used to work together, but she was part a another division called Shield" Nero explained "Well its mighty nice to meet you Lyka and thanx for saving my ass"Nico said smiling. "Anytime" you said returning a smile.

You decided you liked Nico, she reminded you about how you where before everything went to hell. You took a glance back at Nero. "What?" Nero said confused "Your hair is different, Its shorter" A blush formed on his face as he rubbed his neck with his hand "Yea.." He chuckled "Kyrie forced me to"

But your conversation was interrupted by the roar of the engine coming to life, Nico popped her head out the driver's window "Come on, Lets go" Nero jumped in the back but turned grabbing your hand, yanking you inside.

"Your coming with me, am not loosing you again"
