Demon Desire Part 11

Meanwhile back at Devil May Cry ...

Morrison sat on the couch reading a newspaper article about Red Grave City...

"Authorities have reported that the victims of Red Grave City massacre now number in the hundreds. The remains of the dead are horribly disfigured, with only pieces of some victims being recovered. Although bodies have yet to be found, a large number of citizens have gone missing since the incident. The police are trying to piece together the events of that night from the scant few survivors, and are hurriedly reviewing all the damage."  

Morrison sighed, things are looking very bad for Red Grave City and he was starting to wonder if Dante can handle this, he chuckled knowing to underestimate Dante would be a mistake. He has saved us countless times but this is something much bigger, the demons are spreading not just in Red Grave City but everywhere. 

But suddenly the doors of the shop flung open and Lady and Trish walked in "So I see Dante hasn't returned yet" Trish said looking around making her self comfortable on Dante's desk. "We can always take over" Lady said to Trish "if he doesn't come back"

"Now now ladies, there will be no taking of any kind, just so you know Dante made sure to keep the shop from you money wenches" Morrison said with a smirk , taking out a envelope, it was the deed to the shop. "Of course he did"sighed Trish. Morrison just chuckled "Now i have a job for you ladies" he said but suddenly the lights went off "Because the bills still need paying" and with that said they left the shop.

Later...

You groaned in frustration as your patience for waiting was wearing thin, "I know I know shut it" Nico said from under her Van, she was busy with repairs from the events that took place. You were offered a place to stay at Kyrie's where Nico and Nero also lived till this demon infestation has cleared up, you accepted because a warm shower and cooked meal sounded better that sleeping in the cold eating what ever is eatable. 

Dante and Vergil keep disappearing, they would show up only when they are hungry, then they would take what they can from Kyrie and leave again. They were just to busy being competitive with each other, going into the city and see who can best who. Not to mention it has been awhile since you talked to him and he seems to be avoiding you, this frustrated you as you sighed even louder. "(Y/N), why don't you go on ahead, Nero and I will catch up" Nico said annoyed by your impatiences. "Good idea" you agreed as you jumped up from your seat and made you way out the garage. You took in a breath of fresh air feeling the breeze on your face, excitement rising in your chest. Since awakening your demon side, hunting demons has never been easier, you were much more powerful, your senses were more heightened but the only little problem is sometimes it feels like your demon half has a mind of its own. It takes a lot more effort now to control your emotions specially your anger.

The day went by quickly as the sun started to set, you were still far away deep in Red Grave City, fighting demons trying to kill as much as possible but even so its futile as long as the gate remains open. Uuggh I wish Dante and Vergil would stop with this rivalry and get to the problem you thought in frustration but you let it go, its seems they have missed each other. You smiled at the thought and walked to a red phone box but froze when you saw the phone has been destroyed. Dammit, looks like you won't be getting a lift soon.

Darkness covered the sky as you searched for a safe place to spent the night, this isn't the first time nor will it be the last sleeping out like this. Finding a good spot inside a broken building, fell flat on your ass with your back leaning against the wall. Letting out a big sigh you relaxed your body for the first time today, demon killing is a tiring job. Staring out the hole on the roof you saw the stars in the night sky and wondered if Vergil also saw them tonight, closing your eyes, you gave in to sleep. But unknown to you, eyes were watching and waiting. 

Back at Kyrie's....

Dante and Vergil had finally decided to take a break from their little game and joined Nero and Nico at Kyrie's for dinner. But Nico kept looking out the garage hoping to see you, you didn't join her and Nero, it was very unlike you, you didn't even call. After Dinner Nico joined Nero in the garage "Yo listen (Y/N) aint back yet,and she didn't call so I think we should go look for her" Nico said worried "am sure she is fine, she can hold her own" but Nico wasn't convinced "am gone go look for her you coming?" But Nero scratched his head "But Kyrie wants me to help her with something". Nico just looked at Nero with an eyebrow raised "What ever" was all she said as  she sped out the garage.

Nero entered the living room "What was that all about?" Dante asked while drinking a beer "(Y/N) hasn't come back yet, so Nico went out to look for her"Nero replied and sat next to Kyrie on the couch"Nero you should have gone with her" Kyrie said looking with concern eyes at Nero. "Am sure she she can handle herself" Dante said taking another swig at his beer as his eyes darted to Vergil who was standing quietly staring out the window. Dante decided that one beer wont cut it and stood up to get another one, when he came back he saw Vergil gone and a open window, chuckling to himself he took a seat and opened his beer grinning. 

The next morning Nico arrived home "I couldn't find her" she said bursting through the door that led to the garage. "I looked everywhere" she said flopping down on a couch, exhausted.

"Maybe its because she was taken" said a cool voice as Vergil entered the room holding your cloak that was covered in blood.
