Crimson Devil Part 20

Dante followed Urizn to where the blood fruit grew "Vergil" he whispered staring at the demon king "Hey, is that the damn fruit you have been jabbering about? doesn't look so special to me" Dante said in a cocky tone, Urizen took  glance back at Dante but said nothing. Dante smirked looking around he noticed the place looked like his home "jip this is were at all started, the day mother saved me and left you"

But Urizen waved Dante's words away "I have no memory of this place, It's all an illusion, created by this powerful fruit" Urizen reached up with a claw like hand and plucked the fruit "Its power is all I ever wanted"

"No!" Dante yelled running toward Urizen to stop him from eating the fruit but it was to late as the demon king devoured it in one bite. Urizen started changing as pieces of his body fell to the ground, Dante looked at him and sighed with a heavy heart "No brother, you don't have everything". The demon turned around to face Dante "Come to me Brother, I shall enlighten you, Dante!" with that said the two brothers clashed in an epic showdown, cracking the illusion around them. Meanwhile you were taking a breather, you have been running awhile now, you were almost at the top, taking in another breath of air, you pushed on, slaying every demon in your path.  

Nero found V and agreed to help him reach Urizen, but the decay on V body is getting worse as time was starting to run out. Deciding this was the right time to tell Nero about Urizen as they made their way to the base entrance of the Qliphoth tree. "If they are brothers, why are they fighting?" Neros asked V helping him get onto a ledge. "To see one's justice through, a man must fight for it, even if the one who stands before him is his own kin" V answered in a weak voice but Nero was unsatisfied by the answer "That's ridiculous and stupid" but V ignored him and continued " The brothers of blood disagree on the very reason of their existence, the MUST FIGHT !" Nero shook his head in disbelief how can they resolve their matters if they kill each other. But suddenly Nero stopped half way and walked to the edge looking up. V just stared at him, confused by his sudden action. Nero readied himself and caught someone by the foot.

*phew* "thank you Nero"you said breathlessly for a moment you thought you were going to be a splatter on the ground, you laughed awkwardly as Nero and V looked at you with confusion. "(Y/N) what are you doing?" Nero asked still holding you by the ankle making you dangle in mid air. "I fell okay" crossing your arms to your chest, you pouted a bit "you just fell" Nero started laughing as he let you down onto the ledge they were standing on. In truth what happened was you didn't realised you were so close to the edge when you were mocking the demon bugs, when you suddenly felt the ground beneath you disappear, but you were to embarrassed to admit it but you sure Nero saw right though that one as his body started shaking from laughter.

Dante jumped and drove his sword in to Urizen's chest pushing the hilt making the sword cut deeper and deeper. Swiftly he jumped back pulling out his blade from the demon king chest, Urizen fell to his knees, blood gushing out the wound as the demon groaned in pain, collapsing on its back. Urizen was defeated. Dante breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of victory.

"Dante!" Nero's voice came from behind him as he relaxed his shoulders, you finally reached him "Your late Nero, just finishing up" Dante said turning around to you as Nero and V walked past him, taking a glance at the demon king on the floor "Is it over?" Dante chuckled "yea looks like it" he said touching your cheek lightly with his thump, wiping of blood that fell from a cut on your skin and licked it, this made you blush looking down you reached for his hand and placed something cool and sharp into it. With a surprised expression Dante examined it and chuckled it was a shattered piece of Rebellion, for a moment he was lost for words as he stared at it.

"Is that really your brother?" Nero asked interrupting you and Dante "Am afraid so" Dante replied. "Your own flesh and blood was behind this" Nero whispered with disbelief looking at Dante "Right again" he said grinning. V staggered to Urizen, he was barley able to walk as he stumbled onto the demon chest. "YOU!" the demon growled at V. Dante warned him to get it might get messy but V refused " Please, I want to end this battle...with my own hands".

V stood over Urizen"please do not struggle, for if you can't even defeat me, then you have already lost". Urizen growled with anger, looking at V with hateful green eyes "..Not..to Dante". Dante just chuckled shaking his head his brother will never change. V dropped to his knew on the demon's chest "I Need more...power" The demon growled "I know" V whispered "You and i are one and the same, but you lost me and I u, yet were connected by that same feeling"

What was V doing!? you took a step forward, touching Dante's arm you looked at him, he seems aware that V was up to something. V raised his silver cane and hovered over the demon's heart "while thy branches mix with mine, and our roots together join" As V spoke those words, Dante bolted trying to stop V but it was to late as V's cane pierced the demon's chest, pushing it deeper in with the last bit of strength he had left. A flashing  blue light shot from Urizen's chest sending everyone flying back. the illusion around them started to break apart and fell like shattered class to the ground.

"Vergil"

You gasped when you saw a figure stand were Urizen and V was a second ago, you heard Dante growl in anger "Ya got some pretty big cojones for coming back, you just don't know when to give up do ya?!" Dante yelled charging towards his twin. But Vergil easily deflected his attack and drove the back of Yamato into brother's stomach but Dante recovered and threw the sword's scabbard back at Vergil making his feet slide back a step or two. Dante was already exhausted as he panted for air, his lungs were on fire am getting to old for this shit he thought. He was struggling against Vergil strength and his brother knew it.

"Defeating you like this has no meaning" Vergil said with a cold voice, he wasn't phased by Dante's attack at all. But Dante kept on insisting " Come on Vergil...Lets do this" Dante said smirking trying to hide his fatigue, but Vergil just looked at him with an expressionless face "Heal your wounds Dante. Get strong. After that we will settle the matter" Vergil said in a low tone kicking Dante so hard he went flying past Nero.

Opening a portal Vergil took a glance back "thank you Nero"
