You opened your eyes slowly, and saw the roof of Nico's van, your body hurt like hell but nothing to serious. Confused, you sat up, "your awake finally, "I was about to splash some water on you" came a familiar voice, Nico popped her head out from behind the fridge where she made all her wonderful weaponry. "How did I get here?" you asked Nico "V brought you here, you were in a bad state, I thought you were going to kick the bucket" she joked, the memories of the battle starting floating back, you jumped up from your seat and lift your shirt looking for any signs of the wounds you got from the demon, but there was nothing and at that moment the van's door opened, Nero and V stopped in their tracks, as they saw you looking yourself over.
"Are we interrupting something here?" V asked as a grin played on his lips, realising who was behind you, you quickly dropped you shirt "No but for a moment I thought i was dead" you said as you moved to the couch "Well glad to see your still in one piece" Nero said as he joined Nico in the back. V took a seat across from where you were, got out his book and red. You probably should thank him, "Thanks V, Nico told me you brought me here" you said and smiled your nicest smile, V chuckled "No Problem" winking at you making you blush. You took a seat and Nero took one next to you, Nero looked exhausted himself, the demons have taking over not just here but everywhere and there were so few who had the skills to kill them.
" V you seem to know a lot about this tree, any words you can share with us" Nero asked looking at V. That is true V seems to have a lot of knowledge about this tree, but he seems to be keeping most information for himself" Well now the Qliphoth is said to be the tree of life that resides in the demon world. It is the source of all life and gathers human blood - the source of demonic power. But once every several thousand years, the tree bears fruit made of condensed blood, whoever eats the fruit gains enough power to rule over all" V explained " So in order to get to the tree, we need to clean up a bit and get rid of the Qliphoth roots"
"That settles it, we should split up and cover more ground" Nero said making his way to the door "Hold it, don't you want the new merchandise it was made with Kyrie in mind" Nico said holding up a new type type of arm called Sweet Surrender but as Nero reached for it, Nico turned around, holding the arm out of arms reach "Hold up jackass, payment first" she said, "O come on what about all the other stuff i got for you for your little projects" Nero said trying to get the arm but gave up " watever" and walked out the van with V behind him. You looked at Nico and said "I will see what i can find for ya" as you followed V out.
The Three of you split up, to cover more ground, a few hours has passed as you came to a part of the city that was completely submerged, only the roof tops of building were visible. You saw Qliphoth roots blocking your way well got to start somewhere you thought looking for the red pod, but you heard a screech like sound as demon bats started to surround you.
taking your sword in one hand and your gun in the other, you tried to shoot them down but they keep on dodging and flying away while another barfs up.., well looks like lava, you were starting get annoyed as they keep flying out of reach. You dodged to the left narrowly missing the bats attack, you saw a chain and hook and grabbed and threw it, hooking one of the bats by the wing get over here you pain in the ass you said through your teeth, slicing its wings off and decapitating it, you turn around to look at the others, swinging the chain and hook around "Next" you said grinning. With the help of the hook and chain you made quick work of them having some fun in the process as you used one bat that was hooked on the chain to knock into all the others.
After the mini battle has been won, you made your way across by jumping from roof top to roof top and came to a stop in front of an underground entrance that led into sewers, the Qliphoth roots were getting thicker, so the pod must be here somewhere. After running around for what seems like an eternity in this dark smelly place you came to a stop where the main pipes where, you were greeted by demon bugs as they feast on the dead. 'yuk'
You started cleaning up making quick work of the demons you started wondering how you survived that demon attack, distracted you didn't see the one behind you, before it attacked, it was knocked back by a big bird "We have to stop meeting like this haha, Its seems were not the only one doing gardening down here" Griffon said as he flew past you to where V was standing. V just stood there reading from a passage from the book he carries around with him:
"To see the world in a grain of sand and a heaven in a wild flower hold infinity in the palm of your hand and Eternity is an hour"
That verse sounded familiar but you couldn't put your finger on where you have red or heard it but was defiantly familiar. V snapped his book close and made his way to you, looking into your clear (E/C) orbs, locking them with his, this always made you blush when he did that. " I sense you have questions about where I found you" V said smirking , you looked at V with curious eyes. "Any normal human would surly have perish against that demon, but it seems you have traces of demonic energy in you" Your eyes widen in surprise, you didn't expect this but V continued " I can sense your devil side , still asleep , waiting for a chance to brake free"
V waited for your reaction as you took all of this in, this does explain a few things like speed, jumping to great heights and surviving a brutal fight " so am not human?" you ask your voice was dry, you didn't know what to think of this "that's not entirely true, you are half human to" V said and chuckled when he saw your face and patted you gently on the head. "My dear its a gift, in brace it" he said lifting your chin up so that you were looking at him, he bend his head and came closer, your noses almost touched as he leaned forward, brushing past your cheek with his lips and whispered in your ear "Being a demon can have its pleasures" you felt his hot breath on your neck, it gave you goosebumps all over. You could hear him inhale your scent, making your face as red as tomato, his lips trailed you earlobe as if he wanted to nibble, a cute sound left your lips, you could feel the grin on V face was getting bigger, his hand trailed the locks of your hair, he loved the way it felt, so soft like shadow's fur.
A shadow around V appeared as the panther jumped out, a loud crash was heard V growled in frustration "looks like we will have to continue this at a another time" V said pulling away walking towards the doorway that led deeper into the sewers. Coming back to your senses you hurried after V, still red faced. Another crash was heard, it is as if someone is throwing a tantrum on the surface. Reaching the Exit V stopped dead as if listening for something, you waited to see what was up. A giant Qliphoth root shot through the ceiling above you, but V knocked you back, protecting you. The root went right through to the ground floor below, making the floor collapse, you jumped out the way but V was caught by the root's body and went down with it
" V ! "
