CYRINE

I woke up early with no reason at all. Maybe because I slept early last night. Ipagluluto ko na lang mga bruha kong kaibigan. Gosh, a goddess like me is cooking. They should be thankful alright.

I chuckled at my own thought.

Pinapatawag pala ako ng headmaster. And I don't know why. As far as I have remembered, I didn't do anything stupid. Maybe there's a notice or something. I'll find out later.

So ano ang magandang ipalamon sa mga bruhang kaibigan? Pancake, fried rice and omelette? Right, that'll do. Nagsimula na akong magluto. Maya-maya ay biglang sumulpot si Maya at nakabihis na ito.

"Morning. Ang aga mo ata ngayon?" I smiled at her then answered, "Pinapatawag daw ako ni Headmaster." Maya's mouth formed an 'o'.

"So, what do you think about Via?" biglang tanong nito. Hm, what do I think about Via?

"She's harmless. And I like being friends with her. She's a warm perso— mage, I mean." We both chuckled at my joke.

"Same. I like being friends with her." I just smiled as a response. I know there's something great about her. I can feel it.

Tinulungan ako ni Maya sa niluluto ko at nang matapos ko ito ay umalis na rin ako. It's quiet. Konti pa lang ang mga estudyanteng pagala-gala sa hallway. Maaga pa kasi.

When I reached the headmaster's office, I knocked two times before going in.

"Good morning, Headmaster." I greeted. "Good morning, Princess Cyrine. Have a seat." I comfortably sit in front of headmaster.

"Is there something wrong, headmaster?" I asked politely. He smiled first before speaking. "I'd like to ask a favor. I want you to train Via Myrre personally."

Hm, I'll train Via?

"You see, Via's new to this. She grew up with no knowledge about our world. You're aware of what would happen if a mage cannot control their power." He explained.

If a mage doesn't control his or her power, they'll be in great danger. Their power will take over them and will forcely get out of the body and when it does, the mage will die.

Our power has their own mind. We have to tame it, we need to train how to use it. In Via's case, she's clueless. What happened at the Levelling Battle was the awakening of her power.

"I'll do it, Headmaster. You can count on me." I boldly said. Headmaster smiled at me. I have to help her.

"You may now go, your highness. Thank you." I nodded and stood up. But before leaving, I asked him a question that's bothering me for days now.

"Headmaster, could it be her?" Napatingin sa 'kin si Headmaster at ngumiti ito.

"I thought so too. It can be her or not but, let's hope that she is the one." I sighed and left the office. If it's her, I'll be the happiest mage alive. Finally, our hope has come.

"Cyrine! Sa'n ka galing?" Bungad na tanong ni Via nang makarating ako sa classroom. I stared at her intently.

She could be the one or not. But her sudden presence here and those strange happenings eversince she came was unexplainable. There's a possibility that she's the one.

"Cyrine? Are you okay?" Kaagad akong nabalik sa reyalidad nang itanong 'yon ni Via.

"Oh, yes yes. I'm alright." I smiled to convince her and it worked. "Sa'n ka galing?" She asked.
