I phoned my cousin from a pay phone down the road at the gas station he was ecstatic to hear from me and to know that I was okay
I asked if he could give me a ride since he's the closest person to this hospital and of course with no surprise at all he had no problem

Since I knew he wouldn't be here for another five minutes I decided to dig in my duffle bag for my phone and see what's gone on while I was out

It took me forever but I finally found it in the tiny pocket with my blue ear buds wrapped around it

I plugged them in and hit shuffle on my playlist  once i unlocked my phone

Staind Automatically started playing but I dont mind I love this band

"I know I've been mistaken just give me a break and see the changes that I've made

I've got some imperfections but how can you collect them all and throw them in my face?

But you always find the words to say to keep me waiting..."

"!!!BEEP! BEEP!    MOTHERFUCKER!!!"

I herd someone basically sitting on their horn and cussing at first I thought it was just some obnoxious asshole but then the voice sounded too familiar so I looked up and got treated to the most friendliest pair of blue eyes in my entire life

"CYRUS!"

I jumped up from the curb I was sitting on and ran to his car 

I quickly opened the door and hopped right in

"Cyrus I've missed you so so much!"

"I've missed you too cuz"

"How've you been Cyrus I haven't seen you in like a million years!"

I was 100% over the top excited to see my cousin he's my favorite person I always looked up to him he was always around when I need some one and vise versa

"I've been good just tired I guess the jobs had me stressed but that's still the same old thing anyways,wanna listen to some music??"

"Of course!"

He opened the center console and pointed at the case of cds he had stashed away

"Haven't you herd of aux chord"

He pushed own on the gas petal when the light turned green

"Oh yea it's the green chord rolled up under the CD case

I moved the case and there was the chord just like he said I plugged it in my phone and the radio and hit shuffle again hopefully good music will come on

His house was about 7 minutes away so I only had time for one song

It took me a moment to figure out what song had came on but then the chorus cam and I knew the song exactly to a "T"

"I love this song!"

I sang along to the chorus

He rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders

I ignored his comment and listened to the rest of the song

I unplugged my phone grabbed my bags and walked with Cyrus to his house
