the race of life

With music blasting full volume
And everyone screaming
Theres no silence in this world
The only peace is to forget

They say that life is a race
I know that my problems
They'll catch up eventually
I'm running out of breath

There are things I know I should let go
But what do you expect
When they haunt my dreams at night
I'm not gonna act like I live my life perfectly

I promise I'm living the only way I know
Pushing everything aside
Only to watch it drag me down inside

This is my outlet
Many say they don't understand
But our feelings are canned

We have to live the only way we can
I'm dealing with depression
Trying to deal with the pressure

There's no one inside
We deal on our own sides
No one to help with the divides
We only have to see the lives

Taken or lost
It's all written in the post
Unknown to the lost
The hope that we find

They don't see
I'm walking round boldly
Just in this cold dream
No one sees the words that I scream
