Kai

One word.
Fuck.
So I fucked up. Like really bad. After Willow left I cleaned up Kaitlyn and kicked her out of my house. She told me to call her and I flipped her off and slammed my door. Right now I'm trying to navigate through the dancing crowd in my house. Everyone is still having a good time while I feel like complete shit. I've only had 4 beers and I wasn't exactly a light weight so I'm only a little tipsy. To be honest I don't really know what I was doing. Kaitlyn was my first heartbreak and things ended badly permanently damaging my trust in my step brother and my trust in girls. I assumed all girls were the same and would eventually break my heart so I made no attachments to them. It was satisfy my needs then get the fuck out. Everyone knew about it, but they all kept coming thinking they could change me.
And then she did. I remember the first time I kissed her. I had carried her out of class because she fell asleep before our teacher came in. Since she was new and I hadn't banged her yet so I saw her as fresh meat. Everything I said to her was pretty much a lie, but when she kissed me. I wanted that, to myself, to keep and never share. And I got that, now I don't. I wander through the crowd and out of nowhere a fist collides with my face. I stumble back and as a reaction my hand flies up to where I was just attacked, it just so happened to be the one where Willow slapped me. My cheek was throbbing and Conner grabbed my collar.

"You fucking prick! She's gone! Again!"

wait again? I knew she was leaving me and avoiding me but I didn't think she'd run away.

Conner punches me again and I fall to the floor. I lost all the fight in me after she walked out of the door after she punched the shit out of Kaitlyn. Conner climbs on top of me and punches the other side of my face while screaming at me.

"She's like a sister to me! You thought you could fuck around with her and not get punished? Huh? Is that it?!"

He continues punching me until Connie comes from behind him and pulls him off of me. Tears are streaming down her face and she tells him that I'm not worth it. Everyone carries on with the party while Conner stares at me with a look of hate and disgust. I don't blame him. I should've ran after her. But what was there to explain, I knew what I was doing. The countdown for the new year finishes and I look at Connie. She's staring at her feet tears silently falling down her face. I lost her. They lost her. Why am I not as sad as I was when I was cheated on.

It wasn't real love.

Something in the back of my mind tells me. No, it was real love I felt it. It was there. I stand up and reach my hand to Conner. He backs away from it and it drops to my side. I lower my head not having the confidence to look him in the eye. I clench my fists together and relax them.

"I'm going to find her."

"Good luck with that, when she doesn't want to be found she won't be."

"If you did it I can too."

"No, you can't. I had a team with me."

"And I don't."

I walk away from him. And towards the door. I test Reid asking if he knows where she is.

not my job,

Is his text back. That's enough for me. I walk and rain starts to fall. I walk in the direction of her gang. I start walking slowly, my feet move faster and faster until I'm running. My feet pound the concrete and I run faster until I'm standing in front of the door where I heard the first time Willow pulled the trigger. I twist the knob of the door not surprised when I find it locked. I knock on the door and ring the doorbell waiting for an answer. Someone comes to the door and opens it slightly. A buff man stands in my view and I ask for her.

"Is Willow here?"

"Who?" is his response

Geez, how could you not know your leader's name,"your leader."

"Oh, you mean Ice."

I assume Willow has them call her that," Yes her."

"What's your name?"

Confused I answer," Kai."

"You're not allowed in, now scram," he slams the door and I huff.

I lean against the side of the building and slowly slide down till I'm sitting with my knees in front of my face. I throw my hands through my hair and grown silently to myself. I close my eyes and think about every time I saw her smile. A smile that could melt hearts. A smile that I took for granted. I thought of her as someone's feet came into my view.

"She doesn't want you here," Reid's familiar voice announces.

"Obviously," I reply back, exhausted.

"She never did, she didn't want you to see the horrible things she did to other people."

I raise my head to look at him,"Really?"

"Yeah, she really cares about you."

"Not anymore," I reply sadly.

"What did you did?"

"Cheat."

"Well, it's better than almost raping her and killing her sister."

Rage fills me as he reminds me of the shit her ex did to her," I'm glad he's dead."

"Yeah, well she might be dead soon."

"What?! Why?" I ask panicked.

"I can't tell you where she's going but it's going to be full of gang violence and danger."

"I thought you guys were only located in Georgia."

"We're the strongest gang in the country and the largest. We span across every state."

My jaw drops and I lose the ability to talk. Reid offers me his hand and I accept it. he pulls me up and pats me on the back.

"Go home, her flight leaves at twelve."

I nod and turn in the direction of my home. I walk slowly still in shock and worried about Willow. My little Snowflake could die and it's all because I chased her away. When I get back to my house people are leaving. I stand by the door and thank everyone for coming. Conner and Conner come out last. I look at them with sad eyes, Conner's eyes are full of anger towards me, and Connie's eyes are full of pain. I nod at the two and they walk away from me. I walk into my house and walk into the kitchen. The same kitchen where I caught her eating my Nutella. I grab a beer out of the fridge and sit on the counter. I open up the bottle and talk a long gulp. I remember the offer Adam offered me and I pull my phone out of my pocket and dial his number. He picks up after the third ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Adam can I still take up that offer?"

"You sure you wanna go to New York after high school?"

"Yeah, I'm sure I could manage a hotel branch in New York while in college."

"That's a lot of work Kai."

"I'll be fine, it's only one state so it won't even be that hard."

"Okay, I'll set you up right after graduation."

"Thanks, Adam."

"No problem Kai. Happy New Year."

"Happy New Year Adam. Bye."

"Bye."
