I feel cold.
The warmth of Luhan’s soft lips against mine soon began to fade. Everything within me seemed to twist and turn, but my loneliness didn’t go unnoticed. Warm arms wrapped around me from the sides but those arms barely comforted me. I felt my eyes begin to go watery, and simultaneously my head began to have an all-too familiar throbbing.
“Hyo, he’ll be back before you know it.”
I bit my lip, watching their six backs starting to become smaller and smaller, and soon disappear behind the mass of people in the airport. Inside of me, I crave to see them again, but—
“They’ll be promoting in China. He’ll probably never come back, or he won’t come back in time.”
Minri’s arms around me began to strengthen. “You need to think more positively, Hyo. You know you’re strong, and the days will just fly by.”
I nodded and let out an exasperated sigh. “I’ll—I’ll do my best.”
“Are you just saying that, or are you really going to do your best?”
“I’m going to do my best.” I turned my head and met Minri’s soft brown eyes. “For you, for Hyuna, and for…EXO.”
“Just don’t work yourself too hard, Hyo.” Hyuna’s trembling voice spoke beside me.
I blinked away the tears the threatened to fall. Everyday has been breaking my heart since the day I told all of them I was severely sick. My head bobbed up and down as I agreed to Hyuna’s wish and I released their hold on me. I looked in the direction they left, and they were nowhere to seen whatsoever. The memories of Luhan’s and mine last moment flashed before me and I bit my lip even harder.
“Don’t go kissing other men, okay?”
Luhan poked my cheeks and I laughed faintly. Looking up at him, his kind eyes appeared somewhat sad. I wrapped my arms around him, feeling a little uncomfortable by the way my sunglasses pressed against my face.
“You’re the only one I’d ever kiss, Luhan.” I murmured against his chest, clenching his clothes tightly.
He wrapped his arms around me tightly, a little too painfully, but I didn’t mind. His scent engulfed me, and it calmed my nerves that seemed that they’ll explode soon. I felt Luhan’s calm breathing tickle my skin, but his all-too frantically beating heart contradicted how calm he is acting.
“Hyomin,” he murmured huskily into my ears, “wait for me, okay? We’ll be together again.”
“I’ll wait for you. I’ll always wait for you.”
Luhan pulled away and I felt his hand go underneath my chin, tilting it upwards so we made direct eye contact. His eyes as well as his lips were trembling, and he seemed to be studying me quite carefully.
“Luhan, it’s time to go.” The voice belonged to Zitao, and I instantly began to feel sad. Luhan’s expression dropped as well. I averted my eyes towards Zitao, and he had a forlorn expression before turning away and returning to where the rest of his group waited.
