Selen Pov:

She couldn't believe what had just happened; but somehow she had ended up in his arms; wrapped around her waist, while her arms caught his biceps, again... Quickly she pulled herself together, pushing him away and fixing her posture.

"I'm sorry,"- she blushed under his steady gaze. This time she lowered her head, highly ashamed of herself. Damn her for being so clumsy, damn him for always being there to catch. Why couldn't it be some ugly, grumpy old man who caught her, why did it have to be those grey eyes that reminded her of a stormy sky, the kind she loved; storms and tempest, the tumble and jumble always attracted her, life wasn't the same without those breathtaking moments; and his eyes felt like a trap on a one way street and she loved it.

"It's my fault,"- he tried to ease her embarrassment, but she wouldn't have it. Looking up she caught herself in that sweet torment again and a smile escaped her pretty lips; making his reciprocate and now those stormy eyes look so mellow and beautiful to her. Pull it together Selen!

"Thanks for catching me... twice,"- she blushed.

"Thanks for falling in my arms,"- he said and made her eyes flare up ate him, causing her blush to deepen; and his smile to become wicked. He must have understood the trail of her thoughts as he continued his sentence.

"I mean it was easy for me to catch you,"- he corrected himself , but her blush didn't go away easily once it came.

"Well, thanks again,"- she muttered and left in a hurry to get away from him. without looking back she sat at the first table she found. After a couple of minutes she gathered enough courage to look back, realizing he wasn't there anymore. Why did this man have an effect on her? Even Jake, her lifelong boyfriend, didn't have the power to make her blush like a red tomato every time he looked at her; and she wasn't one to shy away easily, she always stood up , spoke her mind, so this sudden outburst of blushes was getting on her nerves.

"Finally!"- she eye-accused Maria.

"What?"- her friend replied in defense mode.

"Just because you get ready in 10 minutes doesn't mean I have to too, does it? I don't get how Jake is still with you. No makeup, no nothing!"- she repeated herself for the thousand time.

"I just don't see the point Mari, that's all. You do we have to damage our skin with all kinds of crappy products, and for what? Men? As if they'd appreciate it! If anyone is going to be with me, it will be for my character, not the tons of makeup I put on!"- she too repeated herself for the millionth time.

"Yeah well, looking like you do darling, you don't have much use of it,"- Maria always said that, but she didn't see it. She had the stupidest eye color, a weird bluish , whitish color that she hated; it made her look pale; not to mention her hair, too dark, far too dark for that eye color; she looked like an anime character, drawn by a half asleep, half-drunk sketch artist; and to top it all, she was way too tall, who in his right mind would like a girl 5 inch 10, that if she happened to wear hills, would look down on every man around. No, she wasn't pretty at all, Maria just loved her too much to notice.

"We better order,"- she said and thus effectively changing the subject.

She and Maria had the loveliest breakfast and went on to try out the water. They both loved swimming so much, took them to another place; dreaming of brave pirates falling for the beautiful, well beautiful -ish, mermaids. As always Maria had so many heads turned at her and she shamelessly flirted with them all; which made Selen laugh and pity the men; hoping for something more than a shameless flirt.
