Sorry, sorry sorry! I promised this chapter a while ago, but I have been super duper busy with two projects this past week and only today could I finish writing and editing it. (bowing head in shame)

Ps: Read whilst listening to the music above. :)

"Come in"- his voice told me from behind the door.

"Here is the file with the final reviews. Mr. Write send it to me five minutes ago."-I placed the file in his desk and faced a questioning brow.

"Five minutes ago? What did he sleep on it?"- he questioned and I chuckled.

"No, he was rather busy,"-I told raising my brow in a dirty sort of look.

"With whom?"- he caught my drift.

"Well, believe it or not , but your best friend Mister Write was hitting it off with my best friend Miss Swan."

"What? I don't even know why it surprises me at this point. Just tell Maria to be careful. Daniel is a great guy, but he is a Casanova with women. "- I could tell he was honestly worried and it made me smile.

"Oh, I think it's Daniel who might be at risk here. Believe me Maria is nothing like the sweet, innocent woman she might appear to be."- and we both smiled.

"Well, I'll take my leave."-

"Before you go...,"- his words stopped me and turned me around.

"Yes?"

"I want to tell you something. Want you to hear it from me first. "

"What is it?"- it was making him uncomfortable and me worried.

"I.. have decided to get a divorce."- he stated and I suddenly needed to sit. Without as much as a word, I sat in front of him and simply eyed the man. My expression was blank but my mind was racing from the shock.

"Tell me I have nothing to do with it?"

"Selen.. I..."

"Alex, if you are doing this in a hope of something between us know that it will never happen. Listen! "- I raised my hand to stop him from talking his mind. - "Before you say anything, let me tell you that I am not the sort of woman to break up families. I could never be with you knowing that another person is hurt because of it. So if you are doing this because...

"It's not that."- he cut me off, the serious look never leaving his face.

"I won't deny you have influenced my decision, but it's not what pushed me to make it."

"What did? If it's the incident in the hospital..

"Let me finish. Again, that did influence, a lot. But there is something else."

At my furrowed brows, he gave the following explanation.

"Remember I told you about my never born baby?"

"Yes. Where is this going?"- I wasn't liking where this was going.

"Turns out it really is the 'never was there' baby."

"What? I don't understand!"- I blurted out. I really didn't. How could it be? wait...

"I see it dawned on you. Vivian lied about the pregnancy. She somehow and I don't know how, she found out I had met you and she faked pregnancy to get me to come to her. Then , she used the accident to make me believe we had lost it and it was all my fault."
