"Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns it calls me on and on across the universe."

Selen Pov:

Just as Alex was about to finally answer the question that had been pending between them like a guillotine.. Well not exactly question, since she hadn’t asked one, but that got pretty close.  However, just as he was about to finally decide whether let the blade cut her head, such case heart, or save her life, again heart, something totally unexpected happened.

“Ouch!”- was that instinctive sound that escapes everyone's lips when crashing into something. Well, this time something crashed into her. Out of no where the child behind her started kicking her seat with all fours.

“What the!”- was Alex’s response.

“Hey, hey stop!”- he tried telling the boy, but the kid wouldn’t listen to no-one, as he was obviously throwing a tantrum at his mother. Sadly, it was Selen who was paying the price.

“Joseph stop this now! Stop or i’ll get very mad at you! I told you stop!”- his mother was futilely trying to talk him off it.

“Joseph, is it, look Joseph, either stop or the nice stewardess will get very mad. And she will stop bringing you candy. Or let you watch cartoons. “- Selen tried calming the child. And to seemed to be working, as his kicks had lessened.

“You know only bad behaving kids kick seats. And you don’t want to be called bad, do you? I’m sure you are a good little.

“Im a big boy!”- he cut her, crossing his arms, pouting his lower lip.

“At least he stopped kicking!”- Selen thought to herself.

“I can see that. You are such a big boy. And big boys don’t kick seats on planes. What good boys do, however, is listen to their mother. Okay?”

“No! She is bad. She is a bad people!”- he stated, maintaining his posture.

“Im sure that is not true. You know Joseph, I have a daughter too. She is three. And I love her with all my heart. i love her more than candy! Can you imagine anyone loving anything more than candy?”- she asked him, insisting on the candy bit after  seeing all the candy bar wrappers scattered around him.

No, was the response he gave, shaking his head.

“Exactly! A mother love her child very very much. And your mother loves you too honey. And she just wants what is best for you. But sometimes, us mothers, we make mistakes too. But its only because we love you so much. Do you think you can forgive your mamma, Joseph?”- Selen looked at the brown eyed little man with pleading eyes.

“Yes”- he said and shook his head a the same time.

“I forgive you mamma!”- and then they both hugged. Selen couldn’t help the smile that crossed her lips at the words and the cute scene in front.  Gazing sideways at Alex, she could see him smile through warm eyes, only he was looking at her.

“What?” She mouthed silently at him.

“Motherhood suits you.”- he mouthed back, and hadn’t it been for all the silent talk Hope loved to make, she wouldnt have been able to understand a word.

Slowly the both of them turned around in their seats, leaving the pair behind in their own world. They were both still smiling, and the serious moment they had been seconds away from seemed relieved and gone now; as they stood looking into each other’s eyes.

Suddenly and without notice, Alex leans forward and just like that, he closes his lips on hers. The shock would have kicked in weren’t that the tenderest, softest, sweetest kiss anyone had ever experienced. It wasn’t a lustful kiss, nor a passioned one. No, this was the kiss! The one where you realize everything you need to know. That one kiss where time literally stops around it and sparks fly. It was the kiss she knew she was in love! And she knew with whom!

They didn’t want to break the magic of that kiss, but the need to gaze each other was too much to bare. The need to reassure in the pool of emotions that were flowing from their faces and eyes was visible for every unwanted spectator if that show to see. And if anyone  was actually paying attention to the silent river of love flowing between them, they would surely believe it to be the most magical moment of all.

Selen could stare at his eyes for ever. And at present she had no intention of preventing herself from it, nor did he. Alex was just as lost, or even more than she was, in this river that had taken them into his fierce stream. Where would he float them though.. that was uncertain still.

A giggle was heard from behind them, and highly embarrassed they turned to see a smiling mother and the giggling Joseph. Just like two kids caught redhanded, they sat forward in their seat, looking forward. Or so she thought. Slowly Alex’s hand had found hers and enlaced itself with hers. It felt weird to her and so very new, to be holding hand with him.

To be honest, everything that had happened to them the past days, and the past months were still a tad unbelievable and weird. She just hopped for the best, and for the river to float and not drown them altogether.

“Wanna watch a movie?”-she asked out of nowhere. These sudden actions were becoming classic between them. But who cared?

“Sure. Which one?”- he seemed genuinely interested.

“Um… Love Actually?”- it had blurted out of her mouth and she could grab it and put it back in.

“Oh how fitting!”- was the ironic voice inside her head scolding and simultaneously mocking her.

“If that’s what you like..”- he had tried to sound unaffected, however the expression of confusion and ‘really’ look in his face told her everything. Made her want to laugh out loud too. It was priceless seeing him out of his comfort zone, only to please her.

“Yeah, yeah! It will be good. And then maybe we could watch The Proposal!”- she pushed further, barely surpassing the smile that threatened to come out when she watched his expression go from puzzled o actually terrified.

“Uhum.”- was his only reply, before his free hand reached the top of his collar and swiftly begun loosening it up.  Turning to the other side, Selen chuckled silently.  Then in a serious demeanor, she pushed the necessary buttons to get the first movie started. Needless to say that for the first twenty minutes, he pretended to watch the movie interested in it, and she pretended not to have been spying on him secretly since the very first minute of the movie.

“I..um.. need to use the restroom. Be right back.”- were his words though she was sure that was his attempt to steal a few moments of peace. She wasn’t a romance fangirl, that didn’t mean that she didn’t enjoy romance movies and books every now and then, but she always felt herself like a more action, chasing, detective kind of movie girl. So she could totally understand his need to run away.

Against he better judgment, and all the times she had told herself she wouldn’t do it for. The past 5 minutes, she found herself knocking at the restroom door.

“Busy!”

“I though you just wanted to escape the movie?”- she smiled.

“Oh.. uh.. no..I.. lo…love the movie.. yeah.. gr…great movie.”- he stuttered and it made her smile even more.

“Can you open up? I need to escape the movie too.”

Hesitantly his door opened up, and Alex stood in it, scratching his lower head part.

“I…

His words were cut short when she pushed him in, locking the door behind her.

“What are you doing?”

“I don’t know. But for the passengers outside, probably joining the mile high club.”- and quickly after, she reached her hands around his neck and pulled him in for a passionate kiss. Soon after his own were placed firmly on her backside, pressing her against his body like a well fitted puzzle.
