Clary's POV
"Class dismissed. See you all tomorrow." I hurried out of the class and put all of my books into my locker before grabbing my workout clothes and changing in the ladies restroom.
Once that was done, I put my earbuds in and made my way to the track around the football field, instantly starting my run.
Jace's POV (Soon back to Clary)
I changed into the football uniform in the locker room, as tryouts are starting in twenty minutes. When we were all dressed, we walked through the halls and out to the field.
Seeing Clary in workout clothes, running around the track, I smiled slightly. She's gonna be a real challenge for me. "Should we get her off the track? I mean, she could get hit with a football or something." I asked and Kyle shook his head, he's already on the team.
"Hell no. That girl may be small, but she can handle herself. Trust me, you don't want to be anywhere near her." He laughed and I smirked.
"Why not? Does she have superpowers?" I asked sarcastically and Dean stepped up.
"Don't underestimate her ball kicking skills. I remember when I asked her out, she kicked me in the nads so hard I couldn't breathe for at least a twenty minute period. She's a mean ass girl most of the time, but she can play some football, that's for sure." We started warm-ups on the field and I watched Clary run when I wasn't busy.
Coach made us do laps and every guy was watching Clary run in front of us. Watching her ass mostly. When we got back to the field, we started throwing the ball around. But, when Chris threw it too far, it was aiming for Clary's head, oblivious to it with her earbuds in and her running the opposite direction.
Suddenly, as it almost hit her square in the back of the head, she turned around, running backwards as she caught it in her hands, throwing it to the other side of the field.
"How is a girl better than you all at football?! One more lap! Go! Go! Go!" Coach yelled and and we all took off running, the heavy gear making it a bit hard.
Clary's POV
I ran around the track until about six o'clock, having ran five miles already. Tomorrow I'll do six miles. Football tryouts ended a long while ago. Now, I have to go home and face the wrath of my mother and whichever boyfriend she's with now.
Fun. I grabbed my bag from the bleachers and made my hour long walk home. "Need a ride?" I looked to the motorcycle beside me, Jace sitting there, smirking at me.
"No, thanks."
"Come on, how long is your walk home?" He asked.
"An hour. But, you don't want to drive up in my neighborhood, not looking the way you do." He shrugged.
"Come on, let me drive you home." I sighed and nodded, getting on the back of his black 2012 Ducati. I told him the address and he took off.
Twenty minutes later, I hopped off of his bike and grabbed my bag. "Get out of here, I've noticed four guys, at least, that want to knock you out and steal your bike. Get going, now." He nodded and put on his helmet.
"Should I even be leaving you here?" I laughed.
"Trust me, I'm safe. People here know who I'm friends with, they can't touch me. Bye, goldilocks." He started up his bike and turned around, driving off.
"Inside, Clarissa." I looked up at my mother and nodded, walking up the stairs and inside. Seeing Sebastian standing at the end of the stairs, I turned to the doorknob, trying to get out before he could get to me.
