Clary's POV
*Three Weeks Later*
I laid on the couch with my head in Luke's lap as he played with my hair. "So, what do you want to do today? I mean, you've got school tomorrow, so this is your last day of freedom." I smiled.
"Um, I dunno. Another movie night?" He laughed.
"Come on, we've had movie night like every night this week." He complained and I nodded.
"Fine. What do you want to do?"
"How about we actually leave the house and go to the mall?" I nodded.
"Okay, but I gotta go change outta my sweats first." He nodded and helped me stand up, as my broken ribs are still healing and hurt like fucking hell.
"I'll be in the car, meet me there when you're done." I nodded and walked upstairs and into my bedroom, changing into a pair of black skinny jeans, an oversized sweater, a black infinity scarf, my black combat boots, the gold watch that Ryder bought me and my gold skull earings.
"Where you going?" Ryder walked in and I smiled.
"Luke is taking me to the mall." I laughed. "He thinks we need to get out of the house." He smiled, wrapping his arms around my shoulders from behind and I looked at him in the mirror as I tucked in my pockets.
"You do need to get out of the house. But, I want you to take a few more guys with you. Verlac hasn't been found yet and I don't trust only one guy to protect you. Take Aiden and Caleb, too." I nodded.
"You don't have to be so overprotective, Ry. I'm fine." He nodded.
"Maybe so, but my overprotective self could end up actually protecting you if he finds you and tries to beat you to death again. I only want to keep you safe." I smiled and turned to face him.
"And I thank you for that. No one cares about me like you do. That's why you're my brother."
"Yep. And, you are my sister. Okay, get going, I'll text the guys to meet you at the mall."
"Okay. Love you." I walked out and down the stairs.
"Love you, too. Call me later."
"I will." I walked outside and got into the passenger side of the car and buckled up before Luke started driving.
The whole ride there consisted of Luke and I blaring our music and singing along to it until we parked in the parking lot.
"Let's go in." We exited the car and walked inside, meeting up with Caleb and Aiden at Starbucks and I got me a cup of coffee.
Being surrounded by hot guys is an easy thing to get used to.
