Clary's POV

So, after two weeks of talking about it, we've come to a conclusion on how I'll be able to go to Harvard.

But, with dad having his law firm here, he was planning to sell, so that we could move to Boston, but I said no. His business was his life, I wasn't going to take that away. So, the conclusion was that Aiden and Caleb would move with me to Boston and we'd share an apartment so that they can keep on eye on me.

Dad would pay for the apartment, utilities and would send me a good sized allowance because he didn't want me getting a job. He wanted me to focus on my school work.

I'll be leaving in two days, after my sixteenth birthday, which is tomorrow. So, basically I'd just be heading off to college a year earlier. Now, I had planned to stay in New York before, but that was before I got a full ride to fucking Harvard University.

I will definitely miss my dad and Jon, but they said that they'd visit whenever they get the chance and I promised the same.

Dad does have a lot of money.

"Baby, do you have everything packed yet?" I shook my head as dad sat down on my bed.

"Not quite. I still have a few things to pack, but they're small, it shouldn't take long." He laughed slightly.

"My almost sixteen year old heading off to college. Never would've guessed it." I smiled and he motioned me over, so I walked to him and sat in his lap as he held onto my waist.

"I'll call every day, I promise. Your baby girl won't be completely gone." He smiled at that, kissing my cheek.

"No, she won't." We stayed like that for a few moments before he sighed. "So, tomorrow, the barbecue, do you want Jace to come? I mean, it's not really fair that Maryse, Alec, Robert, Magnus, Izzy, Simon and Max get to come and he doesn't." It was my turn to sigh.

"I know. I'll invite him later. Alright, are you gonna take me to school so that I get my shit out of my locker?" He nodded.

"I guess." He exasperatedly sighed, making me laugh. "Put on your shoes and your jacket and we'll get going." I nodded and he walked out while I pulled on my black, closed in, wedge heels and my soft black jacket.

I stood and walked downstairs with a small box to fit my things in. We walked out to the car and I got in, buckling up as dad turned on the ignition and we drove away from the house.

When one of my favorite songs came on the radio, I turned it up and began to sing along with it.

(I'm an angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun
An angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun)

Get out your guns, battles begun
Are you a saint, or a sinner?

If loves a fight, than I shall die
With my heart on a trigger

They say before you start a war
You better know what you're fighting for

Well baby, you are all that I adore
If love is what you need, a soldier I will be

I'm an angel with a shotgun
Fighting til' the wars won
I don't care if heaven won't take me back

I'll throw away my faith, babe, just to keep you safe

Don't you know you're everything I have?

And I, wanna live, not just survive, tonight

Sometimes to win, you've got to sin
Don't mean I'm not a believer
And major Tom, will sing along
Yeah, they still say I'm a dreamer
