Ryder's POV

The doctor finally approached us and we all stood up. "Family of Clarissa Fray?" He questioned and we all raised our hands.

"Is she okay? Is Clary okay? I need to know." He nodded.

"And, you're family?" I nodded.

"Brother."

"Okay, well she's out of surgery and in recovery, but there was a complication. So, she has a broken arm, but the real problem was the brain injury. She's in a coma and we don't know when, or if, she'll wake up. I can take you to her, if you'd like." I nodded and turned to the guys.

"I'll be back out soon, with an update." They sat back down as I followed the doctor up another few floors and into a hospital room.

Clary laid in a bed, covered up with blankets, wearing a hospital gown, she looked like she was sleeping. I walked to her and sat down in the chair beside her and the doctor left to give us some alone time.

"Oh, my little angel, what's happened to you? You don't deserve this. You can't die on me, you got that? Hm? You can't. You're my soft spot. You've gotta get better, play with that little sketch book of yours and come home. I should've protected you, no matter what you said to me about keeping it all a secret, I should've killed him. I should've cut his heart out, cut it into pieces and fed it back to him. I'm sorry, angel." I held her hand, careful not to touch the IV in her hand. "I love you, angel."

~~~~~
A week! She's been in a coma for a week and it's not looking good for her! Not that I'd ever pull the plug on her.
Right now, I sat beside her bed reading her favorite book to her, A Tale Of Two Cities. Reaching out to hold her hand, I sighed.
"I miss you, angel. I really miss you. You have to wake up." I spoke to her, hopefully she can hear me.
Suddenly she started coughing on the breathing tube down her throat. "Help! Someone help her!" I yelled out, standing beside her as Nick ran in with a nurse trailing behind him.
"Relax your throat, sweetheart." He said and pulled out the tube, handing her a glass of water as her fearful gaze landed on me and she coughed horribly.
"Angel. Oh, my little angel." I kissed her forehead and smiled brightly, running my hand over her hair repeatedly.
"Ry." She whispered, her voice rough from not talking in a week and having a tube down her throat.
"You're okay, angel. You're okay." I whispered to her, fighting back the tears in my eyes.
She downed three cups of water before turning to me, her arms out, waiting for me to hug her, so I did. "Ry?" I pulled away from her. "Why am I in the hospital?"
"You don't remember what happened?" She shook her head. "It was Sebastian. I saw him leave your house the day after you got put into the hospital. We haven't been able to track him down since then. You've been in a coma for a week." I explained to her and tears fell from her eyes.
"I don't remember. Why can't I remember?" The neurological doctor walked in and sat down beside her on the bed.
"Nice to see you awake. Can you follow the light for me?" He shined the flashlight in her eyes and she followed it as he moved it back and forth. "Any pain in your head?"
"Headache." He nodded.
"That's normal, since you just had brain surgery a week ago." Clary's eyes went wide and looked to me.
"Sorry, I probably should've told you about that." I sat down in my chair and smiled at her as she smacked me upside the head. "There's my feisty little angel."
"So, I'd like to keep you here for observation for another few days, maybe a week, just to make sure that you're really okay. That alright with you?" She nodded. "Okay. And, I suggest that you wait at least two weeks to go back to school, give your brain a little break for a while. Alright, I'll be back in tomorrow to check on you." He walked out and I hurried after him.
"Hey, um, how many visitors can she have at once?" I asked.
"As many people as the room can fit, I guess." I smiled.
"Thanks." I pulled out my phone and called Aiden.
"Yeah, boss?" He answered.
"Hey, angel's awake, bring people down to visit."
"She's finally awake?!"
"Yes. Bring balloons and shit to cheer her up."
"Anything for angel. Be there soon." I hung up on him and walked back to her room.
"Where's my phone? Does the school know that I've been out sick?" She asked as soon as I was back in my chair.
"They know that you're out sick, I called them. Your phone is right here." I grabbed it from the table and handed it to her, that's when she noticed her hand.
"How long do I have to wear this cast?" She asked.
"Three months." She groaned.
"It's itchy." She whined and I smiled, kissing her cheek.
"Deal with it." She glared at me.
"Do I have to go back to Jocelyn?" She asked, staring at the cast on her right arm.
"No. She's in jail. You're coming to live with me once you get outta here. You'll still go to school where you do, you'll just live across the street from where you used to. Are you okay with that?" She nodded.
"Thanks, Ry." I smiled and nodded.
"Angel!" Everyone walked in, balloons, stuffed animals and flowers in their hands. About thirty of us here now.
"Hey, guys. Miss me?" Clary wiped at her eyes and smiled, accepting hugs from some of the guys.
"More than you know, angel." Thirty minutes passed and Clary's bed was now full of different teddy bears and stuffed animals, all the tables in the room covered in flowers, the end of her bed had a ton of balloons tied to it.
"Clary?" She looked to the door and her smile faded. "What happened? Are you okay?" She rolled her eyes.
"I'm just fine, Herondale. Get out, so I can hang out with my friends." She spoke in a bored tone.
"Clary, why are you in the hospital?" He asked.
"None of your damn business, Jace. Just get out. Go." The guys all turned to him.
"You heard the girl. We'll make you leave if we have to." Aiden stood in front of Jace, his arms crossed, all of our guys backing him up.
He sighed and walked out.
I looked back to Clary, seeing her yawning. "Alright guys, we'll come back tomorrow. Angel needs to sleep." The guys all said goodbye and left. "I'll be back tomorrow, angel. Get some rest, okay?" She nodded.
"I love you, too, Ry." I smiled.
"You heard that, did you?" She nodded.
"I'm your soft spot. Your little sister, no matter dna. 'Cause you're my brother." I kissed her forehead and pulled away.
"And, you're my sister. Goodnight, angel."
"Night, Ryder."
