[back to Estelle's point of view.]

I can't be certain of what I just heard.

"R-repeat that, will you?" There was no way I heard him correctly.

"Tch. I said," he begins, "you can spend the night with me."

I look over to him. "What about your parents?"

"They won't be there. However, I have a few things to go shopping for later today, so we'll have to drop our shit off at my house and then leave. I'm sure it will be better than sleeping on the streets," he adds.

"Are you s-sure?" I'm still stuttering. I hadn't expected any of this at all.

"Just give me an answer, brat."

"I'll spend the night at your house then. Thank you, Levi." I force a smile and a nod.

He takes my bag once we arrive at his house to drop it inside, and quickly returns.

"We're going to pick up a dinner. What do you want to eat?" He asks.

"Ah, I'm fine with whatever." I look down, still not over the fact that I'll be spending the night with Levi.

For the rest of the walk, we're silent until we get to the markets.

He picks up chicken, rice, and a few vegetables.

On the way back, he finally speaks.

"Is spending the night with me making you uncomfortable?"

"N-no, I really appreciate it, I really do, it's just I'm a little surprised."

He nods. "We won't be sharing the same bed, but my room is the warmest. You can have my room and I-"

"No, no!" I practically scream. "You can't let me take your room over. I'll sleep elsewhere. You keep your own bed."

"Ah, not as spoiled as I thought. Fine, fine, I may have an extra blanket or two. Where do you plan on sleeping?"

"Uh," I stammer. "I'll sleep on the floor somewhere."

"It's too cold in the kitchen and my parents' room is off limits. You can sleep on the living room floor."

I nod in agreement and continue to walk in silence until we finally arrive at his house.
