I take a seat beside Petra and across from Eren.

"You've been cleaning for a while," Eren mutters, while scratching the back of his head.

"Yeah," I smile sheepishly. "Didn't want to do my first job wrong."

"Heichou," Petra says, "where will Estelle be sleeping?"

"Wherever she wants to sleep, I guess," he looks at me blankly. "She wasn't in the plans until now, and she hasn't been on my list of top priorities."

My stomach clutches and I pray for a change of topic, which doesn't come.

"What about Eren?" Petra asks.

"The basement."

"Why don't you join the basement, with me?" Eren looks towards me with bright green eyes.

"Not happening," Levi cuts in before I can open my mouth.

Erd raises a questioning eyebrow at him, along with Gunther and Petra.

"Why not?" I decide to take the bullet and ask this question myself, knowing everybody else was thinking to.

He hesitates for a moment before responding. "It'd be dangerous. I can't risk somebody in my squad, that'd be a useless death."

"Speaking of which," a cruel glint glows in Auruo's eyes, "I never heard the story of how you got in here."

"Oh," I look down, knowing he plans on teasing me as he did Eren. "I ran into Hanji, and once she heard from Eren of how many titans I took down alone, she thought I'd be a good addition to the squad."

He cocks an eyebrow. "That insane titan-obsessed shit is what got you on the squad?"

"My kill count and skills are what got me on the squad, Auruo," I snap through clenched teeth.

"And you think kill count is all it takes to be a good soldier?"

This ignites flames all throughout my veins. "And you think quoting Erd makes you a better one?"

He tries to defend himself, but can't as most of the squad breaks out in laughter. Even Levi looks like he's trying to keep in a smile.

At that moment, Hanji walks right on in.

She takes the seat beside me and smiles respectfully. "Sorry I'm late."

I return the smile. "That's alright."

She digs in delightfully and the table seems pretty quiet for a while, which comes to Hanji's attention quite quickly.

"Ah," she gives me the signature 'I-just-got-an-idea' expression I've come to know, "since we're all here now, why don't we play truth or dare?"

I almost stumble out of my chair in surprise. "Ha...Ha, that's fine," I mumble.

"Why not?" She looks offended, but I'm well aware that she's trying to get me into agreeing.

"I don't really like truth or dare, and it's a pointless game really, and oh look at the time I should really be going to bed! You guys have fun without me thanks for dinner you're all great it was nice mee-"

"Stop rambling," Levi gives me a stoic glare.

"Please play," Hanji pleads.

I sigh and hesitantly sit back down. "Fine," I mutter.

"Alright, we'll go around the table!" I shudder at how excited she sounds. She winks at Petra and I get to thinking that this wasn't just a spontaneous idea of hers.
