The next day proceeds as the last, with Levi against my mailbox staring into the distance, waiting for me patiently.
I quickly jog down waving at him.
"Good morning," I beam.
"Morning." He dully replies.
"Do you ever smile?" I ask, poking at his cheeks.
He turns on one foot and grabs me as I hold my index fingers to his face.
Pulling my hands back by my wrists and placing them by my side roughly, he grunts.
"Don't touch me." He demands.
I frown and look down, ashamed of myself. I have assumed he didn't like to be touched but I didn't think he would be set off so easily.
In the awkward tension between us, I decide to check to make sure I have everything I need, including a few assignments and my keys.
"Shit!" I yell.
"What is it?" He doesn't glance at me and his voice doesn't sound curious at all.
"I don't have my key, I have no way to get into my house..." I stare at the ground and try to conceal my worry.
"What about your parents?"
"They always work out of town... They wouldn't be home until after tomorrow, and we don't have school due to the weekend, which turns to be a problem in this case.."
"Oh. We'll figure something out."
I blush at his words. We'll. It sounds so weird coming out of his mouth, as if he was going to help me. The thought of him helping anyone, let alone me, sounds foreign and doubtable.
"What are you blushing at now?" He asks.
"N-nothing, I'm just thinking." And with that, we're at school.

[Levi's point of view.]
I run over this morning's events in my head.
I feel a bit sorry for being so violent when I threw her wrists down, but I hate being touched, and had to get that point across.
What I feel worse about, however, is the thought of her being locked out.
I can't fathom the thought of her sleeping on the streets.
Once chemistry has ended, I wait for her to pack her things,
She tucks her hair behind her ears and smiles brightly at me.
"You're too slow," I grunt, "I have assignments to do and don't have much time to wait to begin them."
"S-sorry." She stammers while quickly slinging her backpack over her shoulder in a familiar way and smiling again.
"I still don't know what I'm going to do about my house.." She looks down as we walk.
I honestly pity her. It's going to get dark early tonight, and I don't want her out in the cold, she's weak enough as is.
Turning around on one foot as I did earlier, I look into her eyes for the first time in a while. "Then spend the night with me."
