We both fill up our plates and sit at the table across from one another.

"Thank you." I begin to take a bite of the meal, fried chicken and rice with a few spices and vegetables.

I let out an accidental soft moan between my lips at the flavour. "Th-this is amazing. I didn't know you could cook?"

"I don't. Usually." He says.

"Well you're great at it, you should." I beam.

He eats his food silently and takes a sip of his tea, which I just noticed he had.

"Would you like a drink?" He offers.

"No, I'm fine." I really was a tad thirsty, but didn't want to bother him. "So, uh, what do you want to do after schooling?" I ask.

"I... have plans with friends." He replies dully.

"Oh?" I didn't know he had friends, he never talks about anyone and I never thought he considered even I as a friend.

"What do you plan on doing?"

"Oh, well, I was thinking of joining the Survey Corps." I say shyly.

He looks as if he's about to spit out his tea. "What was that?"

"I said I was thinking of joining the Survey Corps.."

"You can't do that." He says quickly.

"But I'd like to. And I most likely will." I defend.

"Why is that?"

"Well I feel like I'm just wasting away the life I've been given here. And when Titans exist, I think humanity should have as many people there fighting to get back on top, and when I feel this way, I can't be hypocritical enough to not go fight myself."

"Why didn't you go into training years ago? You're to enter at twelve.."

I look down and bite my lip. "I'm weak. I wanted to get taller and smarter before I went. I don't plan on going out on a suicide mission."

"I can help you get stronger."

What?

"Eh?" I can't help but feel uneasy at his sudden mood changes.

"I can perhaps train you, or something like that. You need all the strength you could get, and you can't even walk down stairs."

"Do you know how to fight?" I couldn't keep the words inside of my mouth. His stature is so short, but he has to be strong. After all, he held my weight with just once hand as gravity was pushing me down on the first day we met.

"Yes." His short reply makes me reluctant, but I'm quick to accept his help, there's nothing to lose, right?

"Okay. Thanks a bunch." I smile and tilt my head at him, as I grab my plate and take it to the sink, which is noticeably clean.

I begin to wash it off as he walks over and pulls my hands away. "I've got it," He mutters.

"N-no! You've already been so kind, at least let me wash my plate up for you."

"I prefer things to be done the right way," he snickers.

His hands finally pull mine off of the dish and he begins to wash both of our dishes with me between him and the counter. I'm unable to move as my face turns red again.

He begins to dry them with a dish towel and finally releases me to put them away. His mood and sudden course of actions today are driving me insane, and I begin to wonder, why has Levi been there to help me all of the sudden?
